With a weighted focus on blockchain, our guest Asier Jimenez will discuss how these technologies are becoming substantial disruptors in multiple industries and business methodologies. We will be showing live working demos about blockchain, virtual reality and artificial intelligence!  Please note the location will be confirmed upon registration.  About The Speaker Asier Arranz Jimenez is the Director of the Technology Lab at IE Business School. Asier is an expert in blockchain and decentralized technologies based on Ethereum smart contracts, NEM, Waves and others. His accolades range from winning Techcrunch’s Disrupt San Francisco to tech-hackathons by Google and Intel and all the way to Twitter’s Top 25 must-follow tech accounts in Spain.   In his free time, Asier created the IE Token to teach the concept of creating and transferring value to the students. He also founded Beluga Trends, an artificial intelligence based tool that analyzes in real-time the cryptocurrency market and users’ behavior in social networks to make automatic investment decisions.

Creativity (5 points): How creative was the team in developing an innovative solution for the challenge? Impact (5 points): Did the team create an application that can have a real and valuable impact? Design (5 points): Was the UX/UI intuitive and appealing? RULES  Teams of up to 5 participants are allowed. All team members must have completed the participation agreement to compete. You may not begin your project until the competition officially begins. Please don’t come in and build on top of previous projects if you want to win. Teams have full ownership of everything they build and are free to do with it as they wish whether they win or not. Winning teams will be subject to a code-review at some point following the event or immediately before the competition ends.
