Please come join Aggie Agora for Aggie Agora Hackathon: US Elections—a day-long team problem-solving event. This strictly non-partisan event is in support of the University's Strengthening Democracy Initiative and is intended to facilitate public discourse and civic engagement on the A&M campus and throughout the state of Texas.​​​​​

NOTE:  IF YOU ARE YOUNGER THAN 18, you must have consent from your parents before entering event either at the door or an officially filled out form.   WHAT IS A HALF HACK? A half hack is not too dissimilar from the running event 5k run to a marathon. It allows you to experience a Hackathon atmosphere with your peers. If you’ve heard of a hackathon, it’s a much bigger deal and pretty intense with a technical push.  We’re here to spread learning, encourage sharing of knowledge, and more importantly increase your curiosity about technology!     WHAT WILL WE BE DOING AT THE HALLOWEEN HALF HACK for 13 hours? 4-H and TAMUHACK will help you learn code at your level of skill.  We'll be using Scratch and if you're more advanced, we'll have a training category for you too! Finances are always a tough topic of conversation between students and parents. Join the members of Aggie Agora as they host a problem solving event on personal finance, and maybe they can help make the conversation easier!

Interested in the US Constitution? Come and participate in the Constitution Day Hackathon: Amending the Constitution. Participants will work in teams to propose amendments to the US Constitution. Teams will make a presentation at the end of the day that describes the problem that the amendment will solve and argues for how and why their proposed amendment will solve the problem. Prizes will be awarded for the best proposals.
