Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to our Hack Health Initiative here. --- Goodie Marketing + Prototyping Hackathon to #HackCancer #HackSTDs   Friday, June 8th - Sunday, June 10th, 2018  Here’s the deal. Way too many people in the United States are affected by cancer and STDs each year. But Goodie Impact Pre-Accelerator: Hack Cancer + STDs is meant to change that. It is a 3-month program where founders see their ideas about ways to help those currently or potentially affected by cancer or STDs get turned into reality. This hackathon, Phase II in the pre-accelerator, is a 48 hour experience where UI/UX designers, digital marketers, web designers, PR/communication specialists, and graphic designers donate their talent, and join the teams of these founders in an effort to turn their ideas to combat cancer or STDs into clickable prototypes, digital advocacy campaigns, landing pages, logos, and plans to get to their first 100 users or 1000 social media users/email list subscribers. This is your chance to help those impacted by cancer or STDs, and possibly win money. It’s a mashup of social good, tech, entrepreneurship and highly-skilled people, and, quite possibly, the coolest community service project you’ll ever experience. Register and join our community of changemakers today! Prizes: $2,000+ will be given away Judges: Jenn Downs (Atlanta Tech Citizens), Boniface Chege (Sr Staff Technical Product Manager - User Experience Lead @ General Electric), Eileen Lee (The Lola), Dhane Scotti (McCann Worldwide), Chris Markl (Social Entreprenuership @ Georgia State), and Alison Doerfler (HandsOn Network) Partners: Google,  ATDC, Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, Mobile App Hero Community Partners:  Startup Atlanta, Hypepotamus, DigitalCrafts, Community Bucket, Legal Hackers, Code For Atlanta, Technologists of Color, CS+Social Good @ Georgia Tech, Urban League Young Professionals of Greater Atlanta, Atlanta Tech Village, and Hack ATL, and more. EchelonCommunicate’s Message HackathonTM Lab
        09 May - 11:30 AM
        Marietta, United States
What makes a story/pitch/blog/keynote memorable and functional? Powerful messaging is key. Dynamic, interactive session features examples of effective business messages across industries and functions. Hands-on lab approach gives participants practice generating messages they can use, and provides tools to take away. Messaging. It sells products, connects employees with business goals, and makes you stand out… or not. What makes a message memorable and functional? It’s a right brain/left brain challenge that blends strategy and creativity. It can seem like word play but anyone who leads people or has built a media following knows that messaging is a powerful success driver that crosses industries and functions. “Just do it.” “It’s the real thing.” “We bring good things to life.” These slogans have built brand equity. (Nike, Coke, GE). But great messaging isn’t just for advertising. Everyone wants to communicate in a way that grabs attention and sets focus. Corporate executives leading new initiatives, entrepreneurs introducing products to key stakeholders, managers who want to influence behavior in their teams, and everyone at a networking event – We all need to be messaging masters to rise above information overload. In this accelerated Lab, you’ll go ‘under the hood’ to understand why certain messaging works. You’ll learn fast, fun techniques for generating messages you can use. And, you’ll take away tools to continue honing your work when you leave. Participants are encouraged to share what they come up with in session to get real-time feedback, kind of like a poetry slam. This program is for you if you want to be more effective at engaging others, enhance your stickiness, and/or boost your worthiness to be liked, followed and re-tweeted. Feel free to bring along material you’re currently working on, such as the outline of an upcoming talk or your current sales presentation. Who should attend? Business Leaders i.e., CXOs of any size organization, enterprise executives, professionals who do direct or indirect selling, entrepreneurs.  This session is produced by EchelonCommunicate and will be led by Melissa Gordon, founder and President of EchelonCommunicate, LLC, a global consultancy that provides training, coaching, and consulting in powerful leadership communication to eminent organizations, entrepreneurs, and individuals.
