Connected Car Hackathon Presented by MTC

The Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC), collaboration with Automatic Labs, are pleased to host this Connected Car Hackathon, an event focused on making technologies for the safer smart-driver of tomorrow. Bringing together programmers, developers, artists, technologists, data analysts, environmental stewards, travel behaviour experts, commuters, and others who are interested in using technology to address this region’s transportation challenges. Participants will have the opportunity to use data sets coming from connected cars to build apps and tools that encourage smarter driving, safer driving, and maybe even encourage travellers to consider alternate travel options. So come to develop apps and tools to encourage smart driving and/or solve transportation and mobility challenges!

    Qeyno Labs is launching 3rd for Black Male Achievement Hackathon with their mission is to transform children's lives and empower them through education, social innovation, and technology. A majority of youth participants, will include male Black, Latino, Native-American and under-represented Asian and Pacific Islanders and will be inclusive of transgender youth, women, and girls. They will spend three days on teams working alongside adult professionals supporting them as they build websites and mobile apps that will positively impact their community and improve their life outcomes. My Sister's Keeper Initiative (MSK) will let young women attending the majority-male hackathon have encouraging and supportive mentors through to be build apps that they feel will improve the life outcomes of young men of color, but through their genius, their leadership, and their designs.

      Knodemy is organizing the knocode Hackathon @The Athenian School  to empower young students and guide them to become innovators and lead the way to the future through exposure to computer science and technology (STEM). After a quick lesson on the basics of programming, you will break into teams where you will get a chance to collaborate in order to brainstorm ideas, create a project, and market the product. At the end of the Hackathon, each team will present their project to the attendees, judges and knodemy instructors.
        Rep. Swalwell's 2nd Annual App Challenge: CA-15 Hackathon

        Rep. Swalwell, in coordination with knodemy, a mentor-based coding academy, is hosting the Congressional App Challenge for students of all coding experience levels to join and learn about Java programming and other skills for developing apps in the Android environment. A winning app will be selected at the CA-15 Hackathon and displayed in the United States Capitol and on the U.S House of Representatives website and the individual or group winner will be offered a summer internship by knodemy.
