High school age students attending school or living in the Fourth Congressional District! Sign up and participate in the first Congressional App Challenge Hackathon, which is being held in coordination with US2020. Mentors will be on hand to help students and teams start, develop, or complete an app for the Challenge. The winning app will be featured in an interactive display in the United States Capitol.

No coding is required. Instead you will use prototyping tools, drag and drop editors, mockups, wireframes and anything else you can think of to visually demo your idea on stage to a panel of judges to get feedback.

Join this hackathon to design the future of public media in North Carolina! The UNC-TV Hackathon will bring together the most talented students and professionals to use technology, experience and brainpower to solve how UNC-TV public media cultivates statewide community engagement among NC’s diverse geographic, social, individual, corporate and non-profit universe. Based the participants, teams with a mix of interests, skills and experience will be made. Each teams will then get 40 hours to work on a concept to improve UNC-TV. Mentors and media experts will provide expertise to teams.
