Join ArcBlock for our Blockchain Hackathon. You'll work with and alongside bright and inventive peers to develop new decentralized applications powered by ArcBlock's developer platform.  Participants will compete for prizes, recognition, and a chance for their solution to be chosen as a real-world blockchain product. You'll have access to mentors and peers with the knowledge to help you succeed, as well as representatives and judges from top tech companies such as Microsoft and Google. Plus, we'll feed you! Free food and drink, in addition to some other cool goodies and activities throughout the day. This event is FREE to all participants; unfortunately, we are not able to cover any travel costs.   Each participant will receive participant swag and 50 ABT tokens for participating.  In addition, various prizes will be awarded including: First Place Prize: 500 ABT tokens! and promotion across ArcBlock's marketplace and social network.   Best Use of ArcBlocks Platform: TBA Most Innovative Idea: TBA   Eligibility: Anyone who is interested in hacking can attend.  While the Hackathon is designed for developers, we will be providing training catered to different experience levels. Please join us for Electric Sky 2018, our fourth annual art and tech weekend retreat bringing together artists, technologists, designers, hackers, makers and friends to collaboratively engage with the environment in new and exciting ways.    Electric Sky is a cross between an artists' retreat and a hackathon, where you'll spend several days in the woods, on the river, in our maker space, creating stuff with people like you. ABOUT THE PROGRAM Have you imagined a world where printers are commonly used to print out everyday objects -- like keys and phone cases? Many predict that for future generations of teens, 3D printers will be in almost every household and be able to do just that. STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) 3D utilizes a structured curriculum, workbook and a web-based CAD (computer-aided design) program that allows you to optimize learning while having a great time.  This class begins teaching you the core basics of 3D printing and continues until you have gained expertise in 3D designing and printing. Each day we will assign a new project for you to create and print including items such as a rocket ship, ice cream cone and castle. STEAM 3D is led by teens and aided by an adult supervisor.   INSTRUCTORS The teen instructors and advisor are apart of Creative Children for Charity (3C) and have taught classes and organized hackathons at Coder Dojo in Bellevue and The Garage on the Microsoft campus. The registration fees from this class will go to support other STEAM-hosted youth events in our community.  SPONSORS & PARTNERS This ciriculum for this program is designed by Creative Children for Charity.
