Hackathon 2017 powered by AT&T
14 Oct - 01:00 PM
Fargo, United States
Gather 'round, Hackers! Let's have some fun.
A good Hackathon is a fun and competitive event, where groups will be competing for prizes over a 24-hour period. Relevant data sets will be sent out to participants prior to the event. The theme will be announced soon.
Skills: No need to be a master-level techie to participate - some knowledge of coding, programming, design or data analysis is needed. We're ready to welcome students, young hackers, and old pros alike!
Teams: Hackers may - and are encouraged to - form teams! Teams may be 1-4 people.
Goal: The goal of the hackathon is to build something in 24-hours that connects people to the community. Use any tools at your disposal to get as far as possible by the end of the event and present your idea to the judges with the hopes of winning claiming a prize!
Hackathon Theme: Public Safety
Description:
Participants can build anything that helps connect people with their community: mobile apps, games, online tools, databases, visualizations, analytics, mashups, surveys, etc. We will have data through AT&T's first responder network, FEMA, Fargo Fire Department and Fargo Police Department.
As always, participants are welcome to use data from previous hackathons as well as any combination of libraries and third party APIs to build their apps.
