FRI: 5:30-8:00PM -- The DFW Legal Hackers will kick off our hack Friday, October 26th, with a mixer at Deep Ellum Art Company.
SAT: 9:30AM-Noon -- We resume events the morning of Saturday, October 27th at Deep Ellum Art Co., with learning/discussion sessions -- where we'll explore the issues creatives face, and propose solutions for ownership, control, exchange of property rights to data and other digital assets from the artist/creator vantage point in the music and media industry context.

We have released a limited number of tickets to the general public, so be sure to gather your friends to create a team, eat free food, hang out at the Microsoft Technology Center, build a project using Microsoft Azure, and compete for amazing prizes, such as summer internships, camera drones, headphones, and more!

Everyone will build projects involving Microsoft Azure, and mentors will be available. Our hackathon theme will be creating a web project without words, powered by Microsoft Azure!

Bring whatever you feel you will need to have fun at the hackathon! Please note that all participants will need to leave the Microsoft Technology Center on Friday at 6 pm, so this is not an overnight event. However, everyone is welcome back on Saturday morning at 8 am!

CodeLaunch VI Startup Expo – Seed Accelerator Competition in Dallas (Frisco), TX

CodeLaunch, based in Dallas (Frisco), TX, is the annual seed accelerator for early-stage software product startups.
Each summer, pre-MVP startups from around the globe are curated by the Code Authority team and from these, five finalists are selected. The founders square off at a Pitch Competition judged by a panel of distinguished entrepreneurs and the audience.
Code Authority and Improving will assign a professional software development team to two winners for a three-day hackathon on their product. Sponsors and partners will provide additional seed services to the overall winning finalists, over $50K in seed services will be provided.
The competition then gives way to the CodeLaunch Startup Expo – an energetic tradeshow for startups of all stripes, not just competitors. The Expo also features businesses, technologies, and organizations that either make up or support our entrepreneurial ecosystem.
CodeLaunch is where angels, developers, and startup founders collide in a space where deals can happen and companies are launched!
