KIDS GIVING BACK: ** DESIGNING VIDEO GAMES FOR CHILDREN WITH AUTISM ** These will be exciting and positive bi-annual competitions where scholars from numerous Independent School Districts will team up to give back their time and talent. During the Fall 2017 Purpose Hackathon, scholars will be designing video games for children with Autism! Exciting prizes, certificates, recognition and mentorship from University of North Texas Kristin Farmer Autism Center (UNT), University of Texas at Dallas (UTD), Texas Christian University (TCU) and executives from organizations in STEAM fields including AT&T Oasis, IBM, Microsoft and Cerebrum, among others, will be presented and provided. Local Students Need your Sponsorship to Join the #HackAutism Movement and  Today:*The Need:*We have received numerous requests from schools serving students from low income, single mother head-of-household families who are eager to bring Scholars to this exciting Multi-School innovative experience in S.T.E.A.M! • Please email juliet@steamachievers.org with any other schools in need of sponsorship before September 30, 2017. Please include in your email the number of scholars, grades, gender, school name, and Independent School District (ISD).     CodeLaunch V Startup Expo – Seed Accelerator Competition in Dallas (Frisco), TX

    CodeLaunch, based in Dallas (Frisco), TX, is the annual seed accelerator for early stage software product startups. Each summer, pre-MVP startups from around the globe are curated by the Code Authority team and from these, five finalists are selected. The founders square off at a Pitch Competition judged by a panel of distinguished entrepreneurs and the audience. One startup will earn a two-day Code Authority team MVP hackathon on their product. Sponsors and partners will provide additional seed services such as go-to-market consulting from The Company. The competition then gives way to the CodeLaunch Startup Expo – an energetic tradeshow for startups of all stripes, not just competitors. The Expo also features businesses, technologies, and organizations that either make up or support our entrepreneurial ecosystem. CodeLaunch is where angels, developers, and startup founders collide in a space where deals can happen and companies are launched! Refreshments available during the Expo.
