Binnovative invites you to participate in the NASA International Space Apps Challenge 2018 Boston. At this 48-hour global weekend hackathon, you'll be challenged to address challenges in Earth science and space exploration. You will get to be part of a diverse technical and professional international team of 5 to 8 participants from Japan and Boston. What is the SciBite Semantic Tech Hackathon 2018? SciBite’s first Semantic Tech Hackathon aims to bring together those working with data or code to find creative applications in applying AI to the life sciences. Who should attend? If you are a data scientist, software developer, software engineer, front end developer, bioinformatician, or just like writing bits of code to make things work, the hackathon is for you. We’re opening the event to those working in industry or academia, so if you are a PhD student, Research Assistant, or working for a company big or small, then come and join us. What are we hacking? During the day-long event, SciBite will be opening up access to tooling, including award-winning Termite entity extraction tool with a rich API and Python toolkit. We will also be giving early access to some of our in-development entity identification and enrichment machine-learning toolkit. We will also be making a convenient set of training and testing life science data available on our Cloud Hosting for use during the hackathon, including literature articles, structured experimental data, and unstructured reports. Representatives from SciBite will be on hand to help with any use of the SciBite tooling, though you are in no way restricted to just these tools! NASA International Space Apps Challenge (ISAC) is the largest hackathon in the world. It is commissioned by NASA to get citizens to collaborate on its mission directives. We are organizing NASA ISAC in Boston, October 20 - 21, 2018.Come to the Info session of NASA ISAC 2018 Boston on Thursday, September 27th to meet awesome people to build your team. Our co-organizer, Cambridge Innovation Center will host this event. About NASA ISAC The International Space Apps Challenge is an international mass collaborative hackathon focused on space exploration that takes place over 48-hours in cities around the world. Take on challenges in marine science, research, and industry at The 3rd Annual Hack for the Sea. A "hackathon" is an attempt to ideate and make progress toward solutions to shared challenges.
