Open-source enthusiasts—programmers, designers, QA types, and others in Southern California! Register for the Online Collaboration Tree Hackathon. You'll get to collaborate on the open-source Collaboration Tree (cTree) web platform for community think tanks. Come network and build your resume, while working with like-minded techies to help advance the cTree project by helping create an open-source tool for online collaboration around specific topics or goals. Get started with the new web components standard and Google's Polymer web components framework as part of an open source project: the Collaboration Tree.  Web components allow you to create new HTML tags which can be used with any other HTML based web technology.  Polymer adds data binding for cascading changes, as well as a broad library of polished components.  The Collaboration Tree (cTree) is an open source project in progress, built on Polymer, who's goal is to create a new large scale collaborative discussion platform (read: open think tank). This event will introduce you to the project and help you get hands on with Polymer web components.  If you want to continue learning and working with Polymer on a real project you can join a cTree team working on a specific part of the project.  For newer developers, open source project teams are a great way to build up your resume. Before the event We recommend joining our Slack group and seting up the project in advance.  If you have any issues we can help you resolve them during the event.  We also encourage you to sign up for GitHub if you don't already have an account If you're looking to jump in a bit early we're also at Hack for LA most Tuesday nights. What is an 5G hackathon? 5G mobile networks will open the door to new experiences that will change how we live, work, and play. Faster network speeds and near real time latency will enable new compelling experiences. For this event AT&T invites developers, designers, and creators to imagine and create those experiences by coding mobile solutions that highlight the benefits of a 5G network. Join us for IAC Eitanim San Diego Mini Hackathon IAC Eitanim brings together the next generation’s Jewish-American and Israeli-American middle and high school students for an immersive, innovative, project-based learning experience which strengthens participants’ Jewish identity and builds their connection to Israel. A Mini Hackathon is a taste from the IAC Eitanim program, in which the teens will work in groups on a real-life task, written by the Permanent Mission of Israel United Nations. Each group will work with a mentor to create the best solution to the task. For that the teens will research Israel and technological innovations, target audiences, make a financial and marketing plan and by the end of the day, they will present the solution to a panel of judges and compete for the best solution.The Mini hackathoמ is for 7th-12th graders how would like to experience teamwork, brainstorming, research and learn how to pitch.Kosher Breakfast, lunch, snacks and beverages will be provided. Family and friends are most welcome to join at 2:00 pm to watch the presentations on stage.Looking forward to seeing you!IAC Eitanim San Diego
