Sign up for VR Weekend Bootcamp in Unity for HTC Vive & Google's Project Tango. Learn how to build a world with Unity and inhabit the world with the HTC Vive Virtual Reality Kite. At this intensive three day VR boot camp, you'll learn how to build fully functional VR experiences using Unity. You’ll learn how to build worlds, develop truly cross-platform VR experiences, and get introduced to the New York VR community. With this grounding in VR fundamentals, you'll explore the unique features of modern VR equipment and how to develop for each. You'll also be introduced to developing Augmented Reality and 360 Film with Unity®.

Join NYU MusEdLab for the Interactive Surfaces Hackathon, ft. Chairigami x Novalia — two days of creating, collaborating and turning ideas into musical realities. Participants will be transforming cardboard furnitures into interactive music surfaces with Zachary Rotholz, the founder and CEO of Chairigami, a company that designs and create beautiful cardboard furnitures, and Dr. Kate Stone, the founder of Novalia, a design company based in UK that brings print to life. The workshop will have two phases: 1) Planning - Brainstorm, design and prototype your ideas. 2) Making and Sharing - Bringing the cardboard furnitures to life with your music and art.

NYCVRU invites all those interested in virtual reality to VRathon 2. It's the best way to learn and make friends with like-minded VR people. All skill levels are welcome. This event will give you the basic skills as well as instructions for publishing your hack online. Teams will have an entire week (and additional VR resources) to work on their hack. All projects get submitted (and judged) online. NYCVRU is a volunteer-based VR developer group, specifically focused on the Unity® (free) platform, and best practices for Google Cardboard, Oculus Rift, and other VR hardware.

You'll learn about how he built a successful company as a Ukrainian founder. Yaroslav is a man of ideas, and he spends a lot of time thinking about innovation and entrepreneurship in Ukraine and beyond. He’ll also discuss how Ukrainian tech has grown and the opportunities that lie ahead, like heavy industries, education and human learning, and country branding via international food chains.
