Juwon Bahn is an award-winning product/UX designer and researcher at IHS Markit, where she designs financial products used by millions of people daily. Her focus is on guiding even novice users to success.Juwon‘s career in UX began at an ed-tech startup in NYC. Before joining IHS Markit in 2019, Juwon held UX roles at leading cryptocurrency and blockchain companies, including RadarRelay and Consensys’ MetaMask.Juwon believes in changing the world with one design detail at a time and is passionate about the impact that good design can have on users’ daily lives.Outside of the design world, Juwon is an avid foster dog mom and enjoys exploring various dog parks of Colorado with her dog, Obi.Michal Duffy(they/them/theirs)Education & Program Manager at Out Boulder Countyhttps://www.linkedin.com/in
Michal Duffy (they/them) is the Education and Program Manager for Out Boulder County (OBC). Michal joined OBC in 2017 and leads OBC's education and advocacy efforts, which include working with local representative bodies on issues such as human rights protections, gender inclusive restrooms accessibility, and LGBTQ liaisons within regional police departments. They conduct trainings on sex, gender, sexuality, and LGBTQ concepts and etiquette for businesses, non-profits, schools, government agencies, and other organizations in Boulder County in English and Spanish. In these trainings, Michal seeks to increase awareness to lessen the burden and increase the comfort and meaningful inclusion of LGBTQ folks in those spaces. Michal also works with OBC’s Trans Steering Committee and serves on various working groups in the county including the Boulder Chamber's Community Affairs Council, Longmont Multicultural Action Committee, and El Centro AMISTAD's Board of Directors. Michal has a Masters in Appropriate Technology and Environmental Design and a Bachelors in Spanish and Philosophy. They have experience systematizing processes and developing the organizational capacity with small non-profits in North Carolina and Vermont. Nina is the Managing Partner for Breaking the Bias, a program and micro-learning platform that helps companies and individuals create tools, methods, and strategies to build more inclusive workplaces. As a child of immigrants, Nina has always been passionate about social justice and improving the lives of marginalized people. She began her career in the non-profit world working to empower underrepresented communities, then went on to get an MBA before she decided to teach herself front-end web development and user experience design. In 2017, she and her team became finalists at the Go Code Colorado hackathon, and co-founded dersity, a women founded startup focused on creating an equitable and inclusive tech industry. With nearly twenty years of experience in non-profit and for-profit organizations, she is a serial entrepreneur combining her community organizing, business, leadership and app development skills.
