Come listen to the participants of the Alpha Class showcase the skills and technologies learned throughout their six month bootcamp. We are inviting all employers, tech professionals, and interested community members to vote on the best project idea! Light refreshments will be served.

HACKmemphis is an organization that hosts a weekend hackathon event. We encourage developers and designers of any background (or technology) to come together to work on whatever projects interest them. HACKmemphis is a free form weekend of hacking on software and hardware projects. Each ticket is general admission for the weekend, all meals and the official 2018 HACKmemphis T-Shirt. We'll unveil the new design closer to the event date. The CodeCrew Hackathon is the finale to our exciting summer of code!  This unique TWO-DAY event provides an opportunity for kids to show off their mobile app development skills and work on a real-world project to benefit our community. JULY 28-29, 20189:00AM - 5:00PM (both days)FedEx Institute of TechnologyUniversity of Memphis365 Innovation DriveMemphis, TN 38152 Students will be “recruited” and placed into teams and challenged to use computer science skills to solve a local community issue. Hackathon participants will work all day Saturday and will come back on Sunday, to complete their apps. They will be supported by volunteers from the Memphis tech community. To keep everyone excited, focused, and motivated, CodeCrew is leaning on a fantastic support team and special guests.  On Sunday, participants will make presentations to a team of distinguished judges and guests and will compete for third, second, and first place!  In addition to getting this awesome chance to show off their creativity, skills and team spirit, participants will also compete for some serious prizes. One kid will also get a chance to win the most prestigious award of the event for working hard, trying harder, and showing great support for their team! What could their prize be?! The event is open to all current and former CodeCrew participants and any other interested students entering grades 5-12. CodeCrew is a Start Co Sky High initiative co-founded by Meka Egwuekwe, Petya Grady, and Audrey Jones-Willis.

We are excited to announce three days packed with talks, workshops, and networking activities. Our schedule is full of general and technical talks for you to choose from based on your interest. Our keynote speakers are Sean Healy, Senior VP of Transportation, International, Planning & Strategy at FedEx Freight, on Friday night and Scott Nelson, Chairman and CEO at Sweetbridge, on Saturday before dinner. To keep things interesting, the Decentraland team will be collaborating with the Memphis Game Developers to hold a game jam where participants will create a game within the virtual world.
