The Solve for One Hackathon is celebrating the Global Accessibility Awareness Day in LA, inviting all LA’s tech and accessibility communities including hackers, makers, designers, usability experts, accessibility heroes, and basically anyone with a passion for solving real problems, to come together and create prototypes, products, and experiences that will make the world more accessible. Come along to help real people with real accessibility challenges!

​This is a 12-hour event open to all female high school and college students to come and work on websites, games, or mobile apps that address a real world challenge. There is no prior programming experience required! programming is allowed until the day of the event. ​Projects will be judged in 4 categories: Appropriateness to Theme, User Experience & Functionality, Originality & Impact, and Technical Difficulty.

Join the FremantleMedia Website Hackathon to reimagine the TV show website. This event is inviting all developers and designers to build a website experience for TV fans using code from Wordpress.org and our API partners. The new site will be for FremantleMedia North America, a separate site from the current FremantleMedia site. You will be provided with corporate style guides, fonts, logos, videos, stills/images, show descriptions, show event information, show social links, etc. Your challenge is to provide ways to take the Fremantle site beyond the basic information bringing more awareness of shows, viewer Engagement, andSocial Mediaers!

We are hosting a mobile-focused hackathon! Come build an iOS or Android app with us! If you've always wanted to go to a hackathon or build a mobile app but didn't know where to start, then this is the perfect event for you. We will provide every meal during the hackathon, that's right FREE FOOD! We'll have an Internet of Things (IoT) workshop prior the event and there will be an Android workshop and Ticketmaster API workshop during the hackathon for those who want to learn how to get started and could use a little guidance. We will also have mentors at the event who can help you get going on your project. We'll have a few iOS specific mentors too, so don't worry if you were looking to do an iOS app and need some guidance. We'll have industry judges and prizes for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams! Additionally, Ticketmaster will have a prize for the best hack using their API! In short: 26 hours, free food and drinks, awesome workshops to prepare for event, and great prizes!  Only USC students can participate.

Code for the Kingdom Hackathon is bringing together technologists, entrepreneurs, creative’s, and anyone with a love for technology and faith, to developing solutions for real-life society, community, families, and spiritual life issues. Providing the opportunity to use your talent and be the change that is needed and helping release the oppressed, teaching God’s Word, healing the sick, feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, and supporting the church. Tackling challenges with 21st century technologies to serve God’s Kingdom and encourage Christian innovators. A Nashville Area judging panel will choose the awards for best projects.

Join the AT&T Mobile App Hackathon to hack and build apps/mobile apps, get fed, compete for prizes across different categories and most importantly: meet new people and scout for teammates to work on new or current projects. There will be experts from AT&T and the local community onsite to assist with your development.

This is a 4-hour intensive challenge for Compton's kids to build mobile applications and websites to help their communities. We are seeking sponsors and volunteers for our Coding Camp, a 13-week course designed by the computer coders at Dhat Stone to build new opportunities for the youth in Compton. The program is open for children in Compton and nearby areas from age 6 to 16. Come share ideas and create meaningful opportunities and memories for years to come!

What hardware/ software to use: Well this is upto you, we will provide each participating team with following 1)  Microsoft IoT Pack for Raspberry Pi 2 - w/ Raspberry Pi 2 by Adafruit: https://www.adafruit.com/windows10iotpi2 Although the kit comes quite loaded, we have some more hardware at our disposal but as you can imagine we cannot get all the hardware your project may require so we request you to bring more hardware as your project demands. You are free to use any hardware you like and not restrict yourself to the kit we will provide. What software: Again this is purely your choice, we do not force you to use one software or other but to qualify your project for winning, we require you to use any two Microsoft Technologies, for example Visual Studio, Azure, Azure IoT, or anything else you feel appropriate for your project. What will we not be able to provide: Although the college facility is very nice and the lab setup is more than ideal setup for incubation style projects like yours, we have ample power points provided, and environment for you to succeed. we will not be able to provide you with any electronic hardware like soldering iron, electric wires, sure we have a good supply of jumper cables etc but not specific hardware your project may need, so we request you to bring your own. When will you announce winner: We have a panel of 4 judges, very reputed names in IoT world, and we expect to announce winner same day, the judging will be based on strict criteria and one of them is of course use of atleast two Microsoft Technologies, What is the prize: Oh my, now you ask, though for your million dollar idea a monetary prize will never do justice, so we could come up with something you may like even more. Winning team will get a 15 min air time to showcase their project on world famous channel9 in an interview format with Your local MVP Vishal Saxena, this as you can imagine is a game changer, having this advantage will give you and your project instant visibility to entire world, will more than few million visits a month if you are serious about your project Channel9 is the place to be.
