Cal Poly Extended Education now offers a way for beginner coders to build crucial web development know-how and career savvy for 21st century tech jobs. Introducing the Cal Poly Coding Bootcamp powered by Fullstack Academy, one of the longest-running and most successful bootcamps in the industry. But what if you don't really know whether coding is for you? Here's your chance to try it out! The Cal Poly Extended Ed Coding Bootcamp has partnered with CodeSLO to bring you a six-week Intro to Coding workshop offered locally in SLO's County Office of Education (SLOCOE) every Monday - Thursday evening from 5:30pm-7:30pm, beginning May 6th and continuing through June 15th. This six-week Intro to Coding workshop will teach you the fundamentals of three core web development technologies: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Along the way, you'll learn how to set up the environment on your computer, work with tools like Git and GitHub, and solve real-world problems with code. The class culminates in a hackathon, during which you and a small team will work together to build a functional web application from scratch.  Best of all, if you decide to enroll in the Cal Poly Extended Ed Coding Bootcamp, the $99 you paid for this class (plus the $7.66 processing fee!) will be applied toward your tuition.
