This a a hackathon that will take place on a bus to conceive, build and launch a startup with a team of strangers in 72 hours at 70 mph. StartupBus Americas VII is inviting the best and the brightest to come and compete on a road trip and create the ultimate adventure on wheels. At the end of the event you will pitch your project to Techstars on stage at Boulder Startup Week. You'll be hitting all the raddest hot spots and tech shops as on the way to Boulder Startup Week, where buses from US, Canada and Mexico will converge in the quest for StartupBus glory. This year the San Francisco Bus will depart from SOMA on Sunday May 15th then stop in Vegas, SL City and finally arrive in Boulder on the 17th where finalists will get the chance to pitch at the historic Boulder Theater.

The Stupid Hackathon is organized purely for fun! Your projects will be purely judged by hilarity, uselessness, and fun factor! Work diligently on projects that make no sense at all. Make something we will all regret!

Microsoft is teaming up with Playcrafting SF to present Tool Jam to bring you a hackathon to create helpful software tools for game developers. Developers of all backgrounds face the same technical roadblocks and challenges. It may be as simple as common repetitive tasks that could be automated, or as innovative as a new SDK that will become the industry standard for AR/VR development. Instead of creating a prototype or pitching a concept, this event will bring together top-tier developers to create tools that will help people immediately. The event is primarily aimed for developers, but individuals interesting in designers, artists, and other folks who can help create game development tools are also welcome. The aim is design things to help the game developers of today!

This hackathon is inviting all Software Hackers and Hardware Makers to come along and heat things up with the power of FLIR ONE and Lepton. There will be two challenges open to new and existing projects. The new projects will use the FLIR ONE SDK and/or a FLIR Lepton developer kit to create totally new consumer-ready thermal-imaging solutions. This hackathon is inviting you to come and create an API specialized in online security. The aim is to produce an open service that any website can consume to help in the protection against online threats. A special interest will be shown to create bindings with the homonymous node module. Interest and experience in Node.js and RESTful services is required to participate in this hackathon.
