We will have a diverse group of individuals ranging from developers to product designers at this hackathon.  How can I register? As a participant, you can register for the eMerge Americas Hackathon as part of a Company Team or as a Free Agent.  Company Teams  Groups of minimum of two (2) employees and up to five (5) current employees of a single company can form a team for the hackathon. You can join a Company Team by: Registering using the "Company" ticket, creating a new group, creating a new password, and inviting up to four (4) additional coworkers to the group Joining a group via an invitation from a coworker Joining a group by searching for a Company Team name All group members must use their company emails in order to register for a Company Team. Free Agents Don’t have a company team? No problem! You can signup as a Free Agent and make your own team with other Free Agents or join a company team that has space. To become an eligible Free Agent, must sign up on the Eventbrite.  Although prompted, you do not need to use your company information or email to register as a Free Agent.  What must I do before the hackathon?  Once registration closes, all participants, developers and product designers, will be sent a technical or design challenge, on April 18th. The challenge MUST be completed & submitted by: April 22nd, in order to participate the Hackathon. We will place one product designers on each free agent team and any company teams that request it. Product designers will be placed in the order in which they register and become eligible for the hackathon. Please keep in mind that hackathon registration closes on April 18th at 9pm EST.  What should I bring on Hackathon day? Your laptop, charger, and any other electronics you may need for the actual hacking part of the hackathon.  Will there be prizes?
