The SMASH Academy 2018 UC Davis Summer Hackathon presents an opportunity for our 90 high school scholars at our SMASH UC Davis program site to engineer sustainability through creating Solar Power Drones!  In teams of 6, they will be guided by at least two adult mentors who help them refine an environmental sustainability problem as it concerns their targeted user. Scholars will collaboratively prototype a software solution (e.g., mobile app, website) using wireframe software, Balsamiq. Finally, scholars will present their new technologies to a panel of judges and winning teams will be awarded various prizes.

It doesn't matter how much you know already -- there are places for beginners, as well as intermediate and advanced level participants. Come as a team of up to 5 people, or join one at the event.
