Dev Bootcamp April Hackathon

The Dev Bootcamp April Hackathon is inviting everyone including current Dev Bootcamp student, coding experts, and coding newbies. Come with an idea or join a team on-site and spend the day building a great project with enthusiastic, fun people. You don't have to be an expert to join this hackathon. In fact, there will be beginner coding workshops alongside the event so everyone leaves having learned a new skill and contributing to a project! The teams will be determined based on interest and skill level but if you would like to come with a pre-formed team and idea, please reserve 2 spots for additional members to be assigned at the kickoff. The judging panel is made up of industry influencers, educators, hackathon pros and civic leaders.

The Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC), collaboration with Automatic Labs, are pleased to host this Connected Car Hackathon, an event focused on making technologies for the safer smart-driver of tomorrow. Bringing together programmers, developers, artists, technologists, data analysts, environmental stewards, travel behaviour experts, commuters, and others who are interested in using technology to address this region’s transportation challenges. Participants will have the opportunity to use data sets coming from connected cars to build apps and tools that encourage smarter driving, safer driving, and maybe even encourage travellers to consider alternate travel options. So come to develop apps and tools to encourage smart driving and/or solve transportation and mobility challenges!

Agora-BitTiger Mobile RTC Hackathon

This is a hackathon is hosted by Agora partnering with BitTigeron to build creative new applications for cutting-edge real time communication through mobile devices. Agora is developing the next generation of web RTC technology, and is already working with some of the biggest mobile application producers like Xiaomi. Very fast voice and video calls open up new possibilities for collaboration and communication. This is an open-ended challenge, you are free to come up with whatever you want. Examples of user cases could be collaborative e-learning, social applications, dating apps, customer service, telehealth, gaming, etc.
Participants are allowed to begin work on the projects as soon as the official announcement and registration link opens
Participants must incorporate either the iOS or Android SDK and a real-time-communication feature as a core part of the project. Otherwise it is an open challenge. The final coding workshop session, with support from BitTiger teachers, will be on Saturday and final demos will be presented. People are welcome to join even if they cannot attend the final in-person workshop on March 26th. There will be a live stream for remote participants to present their demos.
