The Dev Bootcamp April Hackathon is inviting everyone including current Dev Bootcamp student, coding experts, and coding newbies. Come with an idea or join a team on-site and spend the day building a great project with enthusiastic, fun people. You don't have to be an expert to join this hackathon. In fact, there will be beginner coding workshops alongside the event so everyone leaves having learned a new skill and contributing to a project! The teams will be determined based on interest and skill level but if you would like to come with a pre-formed team and idea, please reserve 2 spots for additional members to be assigned at the kickoff. The judging panel is made up of industry influencers, educators, hackathon pros and civic leaders.

The Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC), collaboration with Automatic Labs, are pleased to host this Connected Car Hackathon, an event focused on making technologies for the safer smart-driver of tomorrow. Bringing together programmers, developers, artists, technologists, data analysts, environmental stewards, travel behaviour experts, commuters, and others who are interested in using technology to address this region’s transportation challenges. Participants will have the opportunity to use data sets coming from connected cars to build apps and tools that encourage smarter driving, safer driving, and maybe even encourage travellers to consider alternate travel options. So come to develop apps and tools to encourage smart driving and/or solve transportation and mobility challenges!

This is AngelHack’s 9th Global Hackathon Series. The Challenge is Simple. AngelHack’s nonprofit arm, Code For A Cause, is challenging superhero coders to build a technology that will have a positive impact on the world, people, or environment. No matter your age or skill level, just come and create projects that are innovative, and have the potential to improve or influence people’s lives. Build a hack that people can use, enjoy, and potentially scale and get the chance to fly to Silicon Valley for the Annual Global Demo Day and participate in a week of extensive pitch training!

These Hackathons will focus on coding and programming for youth. Bring your kids and let them discover how they can use code to generate the beginnings of interactive functions on-screen. There will be 5 separate hackathons, one per month starting February and ending in June! Teen Dev Camp teaches middle & high schoolers the leading edge of modern film making as well as web app development. Students will be able to create websites, web apps, web games, and even iPhone and Android apps!

This is a hackathon organized by Wellex Corporation and IBM on Internet of Things. Subjects that will be covered on this day include Cognitive Computing With IBM Watson IoT Platform, Wellex Manufacturing, Services and Move into IoT, and IoT Startups Pitch for innovations. Take part in the Internet of Things Open house to learn how to build services starting from a minimum viable product (MVP) to completely assembled and tested systems. Learn how IBM Watson IoT Platform extends the power of cognitive computing to the Internet of Things—billions of connected devices, sensors and systems that comprise the IoT.  You will hear from a group of emerging IoT startups pitch and showcase their solutions. Included is a hands-on session where you’ll learn the components necessary to build innovative apps in the Cloud using IBM Bluemix – The Digital Innovation Platform. All IoT subject matter experts, investors, corporations and startups are welcome to attend this event and for a space for networking and potential opportunities!

This is a hackathon is hosted by Agora partnering with BitTigeron to build creative new applications for cutting-edge real time communication through mobile devices. Agora is developing the next generation of web RTC technology, and is already working with some of the biggest mobile application producers like Xiaomi. Very fast voice and video calls open up new possibilities for collaboration and communication. This is an open-ended challenge, you are free to come up with whatever you want. Examples of user cases could be collaborative e-learning, social applications, dating apps, customer service, telehealth, gaming, etc. Participants are allowed to begin work on the projects as soon as the official announcement and registration link opens Participants must incorporate either the iOS or Android SDK and a real-time-communication feature as a core part of the project. Otherwise it is an open challenge. The final coding workshop session, with support from BitTiger teachers, will be on Saturday and final demos will be presented. People are welcome to join even if they cannot attend the final in-person workshop on March 26th. There will be a live stream for remote participants to present their demos.

This is a 3-day workshop where you all about Big Data with a specific focus on Hadoop, Spark, NoSQL and Cassandra. The workshop is targeted for a small focused group of attendees with more than 70% hands on lab. You will not only learn the technology but also get familiarized with industry specific applications. This course is appropriate for any Big Data enthusiast including Software Programmer, Project Manager, Product Manager, Architect, DBA or Quality Analyst. Prior experience with programming is not necessary.

This is a one-day hackathon for all baseball lovers! Come along to create websites, applications, or data visualizations for casual fans, hardcore fans, players, coaches, analysts, etc. So bring you ideas, creativity, and love for the game. Also, your own laptop and charger, and any other tools and materials you might need to realize your idea!

Apps for Ag is a series of agriculture focused hackathons mixing software development with commercial farming in order to develop useful technology to address the needs of today’s grower. The events will treat agricultural production areas in California and beyond welcoming developers with diverse backgrounds, levels of experience and specialties. You will have the opportunity to show off your skills, network, obtain domain expertise in a new industry, learn about the technologies in agriculture and make a productive impact on the Nation's food chain!

This event welcomes all bootstrapped founders, engineers, business hackers, students, and mentors/investors interested in tech. Guests seeking to launch a startup across platform and industry will enjoy this chance to mingle and network with potential founder, partner or investors along top industry leaders. The example of Work that will need to be completed during this hackathon would be: a) - Team have a very complex solution to a very large market and cannot create an MVP in two days (in this case work together to complete a compelling pitch deck by sunday 6pm) and submit/add it to your application b) - Team have a very simple solution to common problem and can create an MVP in two days (in this case work together to complete your minimum viable product by sunday 6pm).and submit/add it to your application The winners of the hackathon will receive acceptance to OneTraction with sponsored Funding by top VC, Tech Corporate Venture or our Mentor Investors for $25k to $250k contingent on graduation, along inclusion in Press Release and featured on the sites.
