The BASEhacks hackathon is hosted by Sara Subbanna from Silicon Valley to create an app, website, or device that solves a problem for students in high school or middle school that is marketable. This events wants to encourage computer science knowledge in high schoolers and allow students to test and compete! This will be a weekend long crash course in entrepreneurship for coders to learn about monetization, marketing, user experience and more. You will learn skills that will allow you to see your tech ideas come true, you will contribute to promoting engineering education and gender/racial diversity, and advocate entrepreneurship for young, ambitious innovators, hopefully allowing them to create a positive impact on the lives of others!
