Startup Hackathon Comes to CSUMB America’s way of life faces ever-increasing threats.  Wildfires, floods, hurricanes, drug addiction, fake news, election meddling--the challenges touch more and more lives each year. Effective response requires innovative, technology-based solutions. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to create new approaches, new technologies, new inventions that address these challenges.   We need students and teams of students from across the campus; all fields, including students from computer science, environmental science, health and human services, cinematic arts and technology, and business are invited to participate in the 2018 Hackathon and Save Our Future! We need visionaries of all backgrounds; techies and non-techies; dreamers and doers; fixers and inventors. The annual CSUMB Hackathon combines students from CSUMB, MPC, Cabrillo and Hartnell for a weekend of creative tech development. Teams work through the weekend to come up with innovative solutions to social and global issues of the day, and display their prototypes at the end of the weekend.

Advocates, public servants, students, and experts in tech and law in the Silicon Valley Area! You’re invited to participate in the Second Chances and Empathy Hackathon. You'll collaborate to come up with digital strategies to support the “second chance” legislation enacted by states across the country. You'll be challenged to develop tools to automate records clearance -- the removal of record history from a person's public record -- using publicly available court records.

Come be a part of our annual hackathon to gain new programming skills, have fun, and work in teams to build Android and iOS apps in record time! All this using the Flutter platform! Everyone is welcome!  We welcome your expertise at this event, whether you are a developer, designer, product manager, project manager, data scientist, business analyst, or marketing professional. You will be working in teams of 5 to come up with the next great applicaton to hit the Mobile World!This hackathon is geared towards all skill levels.
