Workshop: Employee Experience Journey Mapping
20 Mar - 01:00 PM
Chicago, United States
NOTE: This event is intended for internal HR/People Operations practitioners only. We reserve the right to refund tickets purchased by vendors and service providers. Thank you for understanding. Employee Experience (EX) is on everyone’s mind these days. According to Gartner research it ranks among the top 3 priorities for HR leaders. How to get started? Employee Experience Journey Mapping is a visual thinking tool we use to analyze and improve the employee experience. The idea behind it is simple: you look at the journey employees take throughout their time at your organization and break it down into stages. Then you look at each stage from different angles to get the complete picture of what the experience of the employee may look like and how employees feel along the way. From there you can celebrate the high points and work to change the low points. You might wonder: How do I facilitate Employee Experience Journey Mapping? Which tools and templates should I use? What’s the step by step process? Who needs to be involved? What leadership support do I need? What might be barriers to bringing EX into my organization and how do I overcome them? We hear these questions a lot. That’s why we decided to repeat last year's successful inaugural 2.5 hour, immersive EX Journey Mapping Workshop. This time, we will be at our WeWork offices in the brand new downtown Chicago W Adams location. This workshop will provide you with an opportunity to practice using EX Journey Mapping techniques by collaborating and sharing with a group of peers. We are limiting participation to allow for meaningful discussion and co-creation. You will learn: What you need to understand, know and – most importantly – DO in order to map out the employee experience How to identify moments that matter and key workforce segments for your journey mapping How to conduct empathy interviews to uncover your employees’ real needs and wants How to facilitate EX Journey Mapping to identify pain points in the employee experience How to prioritize which opportunities to solve first and which pain points will get most support from leadership Who will facilitate the workshop? Hi, I’m Nicole Dessain, the founder of talent.imperative and the hr.hackathon alliance. I am a former head of talent strategies and Top 5 management consulting firm executive with a rich history of bringing creative solutions and an entrepreneurial approach to elevating companies’ talent practices. I have successfully quantified the value talent brings to organizations and led strategies that resulted in “Best Places To Work” designations for my clients. Some of the amazing companies I have worked with over my 18-year career range from giants like Accenture, Cisco, Comcast, Mercedes-Benz, BASF, UNIQLO and Walgreens to small but mighty organizations like Grubhub, Arity (an Allstate tech spin off), IDEO, Farmer's Fridge, and the NBA’s Orlando Magic. Today, I am leading a movement that aims to make organizations more people-centric through the power of design thinking. I’ve earned my design thinking chops through IDEO and LUMA Institute certifications and am a faculty member for Northwestern University’s Master’s in Learning & Organizational Change program where we explore how design thinking might be applied to innovation in organizational effectiveness. What else? Eventbrite recently changed their refund policy and will keep their processing fee on refunds. We don't think that's fair to you and that's why we are not offering refunds. But we are happy to transfer your ticket to a co-worker should your plans change and you won't be able to attend the workshop anymore. Space is limited, and the workshop is expected to fill quickly [Nicole’s workshops consistently sell out]. Previous EX Journey Mapping participants include Human Resources and Employee Experience leaders from Abbott, Discover Financial, BuiltIn, Huron, The Sandbox Agency, Federal Reserve Bank, and more. Here's what past workshop attendees have said about our workshops:
