The Operation Innovate Youth Hackathon is open to all Ages between 12 and 17. This is a partnership with Sierra College and the City Of Rocklin hosting a STEAM related youth hackathon. In other words, a two and a half day event based around Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math for educational fun!

Come to this first High School Technology Summit in celebrating of the makers who are pioneering the HS hacker scene and community. There will be a HS Hack Expo hosted and awards to the best hacks created over the past year will be give out. Speaking panels of CEOs and Founders, HS hackathon organizers and organizations, diversity organizations, and representatives from top companies and Y Combinator startups will be present. You will get prepared to organize a hackathon at your own high school and you will discuss the importance of computer science in HS and collaboratively brainstorm and work on solutions!

Def Hacks() is hackathon hosted by high school students, and is only for high school students. A 24-hour hackathon that will aim to help students discover and learn something new, with workshops and mentors. The two themes for this hackathon are related to finding an issue in your community and making something to help combat the problem. It can either be for preventing bullying and/or stress at school or building something to make your city more efficient and intelligent. So come work on innovative projects which have the potential to improve or influence people’s lives. Try to build a hack that people can use, enjoy, and potentially scale. Bring your laptop, mouse, and any snacks that you prefer. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner is included during the event. If you're planning on sleeping, bring a sleeping bag, pillow, and toothbrush.

AppLovin is hosting a 24-hour hackathon for tvOS developers. Offering creative hacking challenges to build the coolest Apple TV app possible, special prizes, food, drink, and other entertainment. Two winners will receive $5,000 and a chance to demo their app to journalists, VCs and other influencers.

This is a special immigration-themed design sprint workshop bringing together forward-thinking designers, hackers, and legal & policy experts to learn and apply the best practices in design thinking and hereby inspire creative new solutions to problematic issues in immigration. The three primary goals of this event are on finding creative ideas tested with real immigrants from different backgrounds, bringing together legal/policy experts, design thinkers, and technologists who wouldn’t otherwise meet, and to build a community and continue what you have started at the Startup Weekend Immigration.

ProtoHack want to provide non-coders with the tools, knowledge and connections to bring their idea to life with the creation of a real prototype. No coding will be required. At the end, you or your team will present your prototype on stage to a panel of judges to get feedback.

The Dev Bootcamp April Hackathon is inviting everyone including current Dev Bootcamp student, coding experts, and coding newbies. Come with an idea or join a team on-site and spend the day building a great project with enthusiastic, fun people. You don't have to be an expert to join this hackathon. In fact, there will be beginner coding workshops alongside the event so everyone leaves having learned a new skill and contributing to a project! The teams will be determined based on interest and skill level but if you would like to come with a pre-formed team and idea, please reserve 2 spots for additional members to be assigned at the kickoff. The judging panel is made up of industry influencers, educators, hackathon pros and civic leaders.

This is AngelHack’s 9th Global Hackathon Series. The Challenge is Simple. The Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC), collaboration with Automatic Labs, are pleased to host this Connected Car Hackathon, an event focused on making technologies for the safer smart-driver of tomorrow. Bringing together programmers, developers, artists, technologists, data analysts, environmental stewards, travel behaviour experts, commuters, and others who are interested in using technology to address this region’s transportation challenges. Participants will have the opportunity to use data sets coming from connected cars to build apps and tools that encourage smarter driving, safer driving, and maybe even encourage travellers to consider alternate travel options. So come to develop apps and tools to encourage smart driving and/or solve transportation and mobility challenges!

These Hackathons will focus on coding and programming for youth. Bring your kids and let them discover how they can use code to generate the beginnings of interactive functions on-screen. There will be 5 separate hackathons, one per month starting February and ending in June! Teen Dev Camp teaches middle & high schoolers the leading edge of modern film making as well as web app development. Students will be able to create websites, web apps, web games, and even iPhone and Android apps!
