        Def Hacks() is hackathon hosted by high school students, and is only for high school students. A 24-hour hackathon that will aim to help students discover and learn something new, with workshops and mentors. The two themes for this hackathon are related to finding an issue in your community and making something to help combat the problem. It can either be for preventing bullying and/or stress at school or building something to make your city more efficient and intelligent. So come work on innovative projects which have the potential to improve or influence people’s lives. Try to build a hack that people can use, enjoy, and potentially scale. Bring your laptop, mouse, and any snacks that you prefer. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner is included during the event. If you're planning on sleeping, bring a sleeping bag, pillow, and toothbrush.

Learn how IBM Watson IoT Platform extends the power of cognitive computing to the Internet of Things—billions of connected devices, sensors and systems that comprise the IoT.  You will hear from a group of emerging IoT startups pitch and showcase their solutions. Included is a hands-on session where you’ll learn the components necessary to build innovative apps in the Cloud using IBM Bluemix – The Digital Innovation Platform. All IoT subject matter experts, investors, corporations and startups are welcome to attend this event and for a space for networking and potential opportunities!
          Agora-BitTiger Mobile RTC Hackathon

          This is a hackathon is hosted by Agora partnering with BitTigeron to build creative new applications for cutting-edge real time communication through mobile devices. Agora is developing the next generation of web RTC technology, and is already working with some of the biggest mobile application producers like Xiaomi. Very fast voice and video calls open up new possibilities for collaboration and communication. This is an open-ended challenge, you are free to come up with whatever you want. Examples of user cases could be collaborative e-learning, social applications, dating apps, customer service, telehealth, gaming, etc. Participants are allowed to begin work on the projects as soon as the official announcement and registration link opens Participants must incorporate either the iOS or Android SDK and a real-time-communication feature as a core part of the project. Otherwise it is an open challenge. The final coding workshop session, with support from BitTiger teachers, will be on Saturday and final demos will be presented. People are welcome to join even if they cannot attend the final in-person workshop on March 26th. There will be a live stream for remote participants to present their demos.
