The Des Moines chapter of the International Game Developers Association (IGDA) invites you to participate in the Global Game Jam 2020 at Gravitate Coworking in downtown Des Moines, IA. Participate in the world's largest game jam event, and collaborate with like-minded gamers to create your own awesome new game! Come and explore new tools and test your skills by designing, creating and testing a new video game — all in less than 48 hours.

Join the first-ever Policy Hackathon* to be held at Simpson College! Modeled on the tech community tradition of coding hackathons, the Simpson College Policy Hackathon will engage participants in a collaborative exercise addressing the question:  What are the most important economic challenges that policymakers must address over the next decade? Small group breakouts will develop policy solutions to address major economic challenges. Full group discussion and voting on policy solutions presented by small groups. Results to be presented at the Greater Good Gathering, a national conference at Columbia University in New York City on February 6 - 7, 2020. *Dinner included.
