Be part of a unique discussion that not only analyzes the 2016 Zambian general election from a technology point-of-view but fast-forwards to opportunities and challenges around the future and use of technology in elections. The aim of this event is twofold, firstly, to educate participants on the electoral process, how technology is applied at each stage to increase transparency and the challenges faced. Secondly, to describe opportunities that exist within the electoral processes for improvement and innovation. The goal of the event is to get views from people in technology on how best new technologies can be applied to elections in Zambia as well as show opportunities that will enable them contribute positively towards the electoral process. Expected Outcomes: Educate people on the electoral process. Show how and what type of technology is used to conduct elections in Zambia. Have an open discussion, get proposals on how new technologies can be applied to enhance transparency in the electoral process.
