WWCode Manila Hackathon | Learn, Collaborate, & Hack
        24 Nov - 06:00 PM
        Taguig, Philippines
This event is all about the community: learning together, collaborating with each other and building something that can change someone’s future. About Our Event Hackathons are great events to learn and explore new technologies. However, for many years, there has been a lack of women attending hackathons and we want to change that. This year, we want our community to open their eyes into the world of hackathons. Every attendee who has built something and presented their work in front of the community gets the Women Who Code Manila Hackathon Finisher Medal. Who We Are Women Who Code is a global non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring women to succeed in technology careers. Our Manila chapter just started this January 20, 2017 and our community has grown to more than 1000+ members in less than 7 months. We also have organized more than 90+ events already and created more than 25+ leaders serving the community as volunteers. Audience Over 200 attendees are coming from all areas of the tech community. Most of them are first time hackathon participants. So don't be afraid if this is the first time you'd be joining one! We are expecting 60% professionals, 25% students, 15% coming from different backgrounds who decided to learn coding. They can be developers, designers, engineers and more.  Kiddie Hackathon We will also be having a kiddie hackathon on November 25th and 26th for the kids of the attendees (max of 35 kids per day). We noticed that women in the Philippines have bigger responsibilities at home as mothers and they need someone to take care of their kids before being able to go to an event so we decided to help them with that too. FAQ What's the refund policy? Please note all sales are final and while we will do our best to help with ticket transfers in the event of a cancellation, Women Who Code does not issue refunds. Thanks!  You can visit our site for more information: http://manila.womenwhocode.com
