2. Java for Good - Social Responsibility Hackathon
  17 Sep - 09:00 AM
  Kharkiv, Ukraine
This is the second Java for Good event, first one was in Istanbul / Turkey. 24 Senior Java developers coded 12 hours trying to find solutions for social problems. Now it's Ukraine's turn, we're coming to Kharkiv. Instead of just sitting in our comfortable seats and criticizing, our initial target is to create software solutions, or at least creating a beggining for solving today's real social problems we're facing everyday. This is why we limited invitations for our hackathon to 50 people and we're strictly looking for at least 5 years of experience in Java software development environment because we're trying to create a team of champions. We want to prove what technology can create a huge difference and our priority is Immigration in this project. For example, one of our developers may chose to create a solution for tracking street animals and we're going to share all source codes publicly while sending them to government authorities and NGOs for free at the end of the event. Having at least 5 years of hands-on Java development experience and a strong will to do good with it. Event will begin on Sept 17, 2017 at 09:00 lasting until 21:00 for 12 hours. Awards: Winners complying with set of engineering rules provided by Crossover Evaluation team will receive a $100K/YEAR paying full time, remote Java Chief Software Architect position offer. Lots of cool corporate swag from our partners. Partners:
