Come join the UTS Connected Intelligence Centre (CIC) to celebrate the CIC's latest hackathon win at Unearthed Sydney.

Sydney Hackastars is Australia's premier hackathon hosted by Tech Pilot Fund. With one of the largest prize pools in Australia, the stakes are high meaning only the best will get to compete. Are you good enough? Are you one of Australia's fifty best coders (developers), creatives (designers), or capitalists (bus-dev people)? Participants will be 50% women 50% men!

For the first time in almost 6 years, Melbourne Silicon Beach will be opening up their community to non-members with the event September MSB Drinks & Pitch Night. The night will resemble a typical MSB Drinks meeting that they hold monthly. The structure is informal with the goal to further the business ideas of both members and new visitors alike. Student and public innovators! Participate in UHack -- Tasmania's innovation hackathon. Participate in a team, and work over a weekend to develop a software application, a business model and a pitch video, which are presented at the end to the UHack panel of judges. What you develop is up to you – just identify an opportunity or solve a problem or need that aligns with the University's research themes: --> Environment, Resources and Sustainability --> Creativity, Culture and Society --> Better Health --> Marine, Antarctic and Maritime --> Data, Knowledge and Decisions

Virtual Reality techie? It's your day! Sign up for Western Australia's first virtual reality hackathon. AVRN's VR Hackathon is a 51-hour hackathon event dedicated to both developing entertainment based experiences as well as applying VR to solve industry challenges. Participants will work with leading entrepreneurs and mentors from the VR sector, as well as startup community in Perth, to produce an innovative solution to one of their challenges. To win the hackathon, it is imperative that you bring the most innovative, creative, and applicable ideas to the table. You don't have to be the most experienced developer, or have the best headset, to win.

Aussie software developers, data scientists, engineers, UX designers, entrepreneurs, and industry insiders in and around Newcastle, New South Wales! Participate in Unearthed Hunter Valley 2016, a 54-hour open innovation hackathon that is focused on the global resources sector. Come with a team of 3-4 like-minded individuals, or join a team at the event. Collaborate and compete to design and develop prototype technology solutions to a resource challenge posed by large resources companies in the Hunter Valley region. You'll have the opportunity to work on real industry data, as well as data from government partners, and compete for your share of a cash prize pool. If you have registered as an individual, find some like-minded hackers and form a team. There'll be a panel of hackathon experts who will be sharing their wisdom and providing hot tips!

Bring your laptop to this Blog-hackathon and -- using your personal blog post recipe -- the organizers will help create and workshop your blog post step-by-step as you write it. At the end of the event, you’ll walk away with a ton of helpful feedback to help you improve your blog writing and a kick-ass blog post you can publish immediately!

Prior to the upcoming Unearthed Hunter Valley 2016 hackathon, you're invited to attend an info session to learn about the Hackathon event's challenges, and to discuss the opportunities on offer.
