Protohackers, designers, devs, entrepreneurs, startup founders, or anyone who currently works with product or would like to build one! This Prototyping 101 for Startups Workshop is for you! Prototyping experts from Protohack and Tangent Collective will deliver a workshop on the proto.io prototyping tool, and a web-flow workshop for web apps. In this fun, interactive, hands-on workshop, you will go through your startup concept from a user’s perspective. Gather valuable feedback, attract potential users, and even raise money by practicing rapid prototyping, learn how to use the tools and create a plan of execution.

Interested in the concept of an Unconditional Basic Income? Come participate in the Creathon on Basic Income. This hackathon-style event will be held over two and a half days, with creative people from different backgrounds: artists, activists, programmers, etc., who share an interest in basic income. Participate to discuss how a UBI might simplify the functions of the government, and provide each Quebecer with a life of dignity and the capacity to pursue their ambitions.

Interested in Artificial Intelligence? Predict the future with Machine Learning. Join Microsoft’s Canada for two learning sessions and learn how to execute experiments using Azure Machine Learning Studio.  Students will receive a Launch Zone Machine Learning Certificate of Participation after two sessions!

Passionate about innovation in healthcare? Plan to be part of the huddle to work on real problems that were identified with the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario's (CHEO) healthcare practitioners! The HHOttawa Huddle is designed to start creating ideas and working on specific problems in healthcare that need immediate attention. This will be a precursor to the 2017 Hackathon -- so participants can hit the ground running.

Are you in the dev/design/tech/startup community in Halifax, NS? Get ready to hack at Volta! Camp! Make something awesome for one of the three participating Volta companies: The Rounds, PACTA or Zora. You'll compete for one of three cash prizes -- minimum $800 each! Each participating company will provide a clear explanation at the beginning of the hackathon of the problem/idea/feature that they want fixed/built. Guidelines for what qualifies as a winning idea will also be provided. Judges from each of the three participating companies will evaluate the competing hacks and ultimately pick a winner for each.

EngHack is Waterloo's engineering hackathon organized by the Engineering Society for engineering students from all levels of experience. Your ability doesn't matter, only your willingness to have a great time! All students are welcome but teams must consist of at least 1 UW engineering student. There will be 21 hours of hacking, food and drinks will be provided.
