Kids ages of 7-13 in the Toronto area! Are you crazy about all things Space? That's great because there's a special youth program that's going to run in parallel with the 2017 NASA Space Apps Challenge - Hackathon Toronto! You're invited to come and participate in NASA's Space Apps Toronto Youth Program. You'll get to face unique challenges including robotics, space-related art and crafts, learning about electronics, coding work shops and more.

We are back and determined to make this happen..Black Boys Code robotics hackathon to take place at the Surrey City Centre Library on Saturday April 29th 2017. Participants will be asked to develop the best, smartest, and most creative solution they can over the course of the BlackBoysCode Spring 2017 Hackathon Challenge. By the end of the workshop they will have programmed a physical robot to traverse obstacles. The boys will have also learned skills such as collaboration (working in teams), critical thinking (programming), and communication (presentation skills)… Please note, lunch will be provided.Once you have registered for this event, please fill in the online student profile, and complete the two forms which can be found at this link on our website:http://www.blackboyscode.org/parents. Please bring the two signed copies of these forms to the event. Those boys who have not checked in by 10:45 AM will forfeit their space. See you there!

A two day event where teams of high school students from across Calgary work together and collaborate, using the City of Calgary open data catalogue to create technology based solutions that can improve the City of Calgary for youth.  Location: Calgary Municipal Building (800 Macleod Trail SE)  Capacity: Space is limited to 75 participants. Prizes: $750 for first place, $500 for second and $250 for third...and more! Forming Teams: Teams must be between three and five people. You can register for the event as a team or you can register as an individual and you will be placed with a team.  *Please note that unfortunately we are unable to provide technology for all participants of the Hackathon.
