This hackathon is aimed for Excel-enthusiasts, Microsoft Power BI and SQL Server professionals, data scientists' and generally for people interested in building data visualizations using one or more tools from the Microsoft BI and data platform stack (Power BI, SQL Server, Excel etc.). An event concentrated on Microsoft solutions and cloud-based services. At the start of the hackathon you'll get a quick overview on what's out there, how to get started and how to use open data APIs to build visualizations and dashboards. SomeJam is a communal event which uses digital technology in order to enhance the well-being of youth. Bringing together the know-how and creativity of various areas of work for a 48 hours hackathon to create new concepts such as web services for youths, mobile applications or other services utilising digital technology. Mentors for the teams are top specialists of new technology who have worked with or had influence in many Finnish social media companies and startups. A jury of technology specialists will pick and announce the winner who will get funding for further development and finalisation of his/her project.

Hackathons at Tuxera: a unique opportunity to develop your coding skills, learn from industry experts and meet other technology enthusiasts. This is the first in a series of events to learn and build new ideas and explore new possibilities around data storage and file and content management in mobile devices (Android and iOS) and the cloud. You'll learn the main tools, principles and patterns for handling and interacting with content and data stored locally or in the cloud, and how to build a great app and take it to the market.
During the hackathons you will work in small teams. You can come up with your own ideas but we’ll also have a list of topics and challenges to help you get started. At the end of the event you can showcase your progress; keep in mind that this is a series of monthly events and you are encouraged to take part in all of them. In the final hackathon there will also be a give away with great prizes!

OuluES and its partners gather around to host a hackathon for their ZEF's product-selector 'MatchIt', an embeddable web app that their customers use to provide interactive product selection to their users. A simple example can be a car selector app based on a set of questions like size, speed, power and comfort.
Every MatchIt app has two data sets, the Questions and the Results, where every result item is cross-mapped to questions. A third dataset, the Answers, is user generated. Based on a user's answers, the results are scored and arranged. Contestants will come up with, and prototype new innovative ideas to gamify MatchIt and make product selection intuitive and fun for the users. The contestants are free to use any web/mobile platform they desire!
