This is a hackathon organized for the development of an innovative ideas for developing a mobile app for EFSA. You may participate as an individual or as a team by submitting a prototype of a mobile app that gives access to EFSA’s recent work. The deadline for submissions is 30 June 2016. You should work on your idea before applying. You may not have a fully functioning product when you apply, but as long as the idea is in place, you’re in good shape. The creators of the five best prototypes will be invited to present them at EFSA’s premises, in Parma. By this time, your app should fully work! This is a competition but it’s also a place to meet interesting people and learn something new. Just have a good time and do your best!

Come along to developing new technology or a business ideas that can be applied to today's food chain! Things you may be working on are precision farming technologies; solutions that enable the consumer to know if the food they are going to buy contains allergens or food to which he's intolerant; solutions that enable the restaurateurs to easily write on the menu all the potential allergens present in the dishes; any other idea that integrates hardware and/or software technologies to the food chain.

The main idea behind all droidcons is to support the Android platform and build up a networking event for developers and companies. We offer high-class talks from different parts of the ecosystem, including core development, embedded solutions, augmented reality, business solutions and games. In the exhibition area our sponsors show their latest hard- and software solutions, including phones, tablets, consoles, wearable, auto and – of course – SDKs, APIs, apps and widgets for business and consumer purposes.
The whole event is divided into a conference, and a hackathon (the two days after the conference). Droidcon Italy 2016 is the third edition of Italian Droidcon, after the great success of 2014 and 2015 editions.

Q: Are tickets are valid for the 2 days of conference? A: You just need one ticket for the two days. This is valid also for Student Tickets
Q: Is it only possible to pay using Paypal? A: You can use any credit card using the Paypal gateway. If you prefer to use Bank Transfer (bonifico bancario) or other payment options, please contact us.
Q: Is there any discount for large groups, schools, user groups, etc.? A: We can agree discounts for schools and universities (both public and private institutions). Google Dev Groups (GDG) members are eligibile for discounts too (contact your local representative for details). If you run a GDG or other developer groups, communities, conference, etc. please contact us!
Q: Can the ticket be transferred? A: No, tickets are personal. If can't come and want to transfer your ticket, contact us.
