List of hackathons in Italy in 2016

This event is an International Summit dedicated to food innovation looking at all aspect of the food process, from farm to fork and where food and technology meet. Hundreds of startups, companies in food and tech investors, thought leaders and policymakers will join on this day to share ideas, projects and experiences. Innovating the food system is not just an opportunity, it is a challenge for the Internet of Food!

ProtoHack wants to provide non-coders with the tools, knowledge and connections to bring their idea to life through the creation of a real prototype. No coding will be required. At the end, you and your team will present your project on stage to a panel of judges to get feedback.

This is a hackathon organized for the development of an innovative ideas for developing a mobile app for EFSA. You may participate as an individual or as a team by submitting a prototype of a mobile app that gives access to EFSA’s recent work. The deadline for submissions is 30 June 2016. You should work on your idea before applying. You may not have a fully functioning product when you apply, but as long as the idea is in place, you’re in good shape. The creators of the five best prototypes will be invited to present them at EFSA’s premises, in Parma. By this time, your app should fully work! This is a competition but it’s also a place to meet interesting people and learn something new. Just have a good time and do your best!

This is a hackathon sponsored by Consoft Systems and organized with the support of the I3P, Innovative Enterprise Incubator of the Politecnico di Torino around food. Come along to developing new technology or a business ideas that can be applied to today's food chain! Things you may be working on are precision farming technologies; solutions that enable the consumer to know if the food they are going to buy contains allergens or food to which he's intolerant; solutions that enable the restaurateurs to easily write on the menu all the potential allergens present in the dishes; any other idea that integrates hardware and/or software technologies to the food chain.

The Droidcon Italy hackathon is about Android development in general, with particular focus on new trends such as wearable, IoT, material design and more. The theme to be followed will be announced on the first day of the hackathon!

This is an all'Open technology Meetup on Google's cloud platform and cloud in general organized by GDG Women Techmakers Catania and Catania, with the support of Google and TIM #WCAP Catania. Hackathon Trieste is a 27-hour marathon non-stop in which teams of programmers, designers and artists will think of and realize services (web and app) that can improve the functioning of the city and the quality of life in Trieste.
