List of hackathons in Italy in 2019

5GCity Hackathondemonstrates, in operational conditions, a distributed cloud and radio platform for municipalities and infrastructure owners acting as 5G neutral hosts. The platform enables to turn a city-infrastructure into a distributed and multi-tenant edge infrastructure by relying on the 5GCity orchestration platform, based on OSM, to manage and orchestrate (NFV + MEC) end-to-end services and creating programmable and on demand network slices.

Cos'è DeepGram? DeepGram consiste in una serie di MeetUp in cui cercheremo di creare un bot Telegram su cui svolgere del Machine Learning, o Data Science in generale, in maniera semplice e con un'interfaccia minimale. Qui la presentazione su YouTube. Modalità Ci incontreremo ogni due mercoledì, e organizziamo un piccolo hackathon di due ore: ci poniamo un obiettivo concreto e cerchiamo di portarlo a termine. Lo scopo primario resta l'apprendimento: avere un obiettivo concreto consente di avere dei risultati tangibili, e non semplicemente delle nozioni che non sappiamo se e quando andremo a spendere, o che molto probabilmente andremo a dimenticare. Lavorando ad un progetto concreto avremo modo di affrontare una vasta gamma di argomenti: dalla creazione di un bot, alle varie architetture di Deep Learning, dai vari algoritmi di Data Science, alla conoscenza dei diversi servizi cloud come Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure e Amazon Web Services, solo per citarne qualcuno. Io consiglio Plus Messenger al posto di Telegram, perché è più personalizzabile e permette la divisione di Utenti, Canali, Gruppi, e Bot tra le altre cose! Questa volta il Learnathon si sposta a Firenze. Il Learnathon è un evento a metà tra un hackathon e un workshop: è un workshop perché si studia il processo di data science. Ma è anche un hackathon, perché si lavora in gruppi, attraverso esercizi, per mettere a punto la soluzione. Durante il Learnathon sperimenteremo l’intero ciclo di un progetto di data science dall’accesso ai dati fino al deployment, passando per un paio di algoritmi di Machine Learning. Lo strumento che utilizzeremo è KNIME Analytics Platform. KNIME Analytics Platform è open ed offre anche un ambiente di sviluppo integrato per R, Python, SQL e Spark. Dopo un’introduzione iniziale ci divideremo in gruppi. Ciascun gruppo si focalizzerà su uno dei tre aspetti del ciclo del progetto: Gruppo 1: ETL. Focus sull’accesso ai dati e sulla data preparation. Gruppo 2: Machine Learning. Che modello dovrei usare? Con quali parametri? Gruppo 3: Deployment. Dopo aver trovato un buon modello, cosa succede? Focus sulla fase di deployment. Forniremo ai partecipanti i data sets, i workflow per cominciare e le soluzioni degli esercizi. I nostri data scientists più esperti saranno a disposizione per consigli e informazioni. Per partecipare è necessario portare il proprio laptop con KNIME Analytics Platform preinstallata e il materiale del workshop. Join us to learn and experiment what Software Defined Radios can do! A 24-hours collaborative marathon, open to all italian students (B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D.) in the ICT sector, but with focus on communication technologies. Groups of communications enthusiasts will be challenged in a unique experience, to exhibit their talent, creativity and teamwork. The goal of this edition will be to develop intelligent receivers to automatically identify the transmision mode in wireless communications, starting from real-time transmission samples and using SDRs and NI LabView Communications software suite. To bring participants up to speed, on the date before the Hackathon (Nov. 13) as well as during the morning of the first day, experts from IRS S.r.l. and University of Trento will provide dedicated training and examples.
