14 Nov - 09:00 AM
London, United Kingdom
What is UnituHack?
UnituHack is the first student & staff hackathon, bringing them together to form a team for one day to co-create technological innovations and solutions for specific challenges found in universities.
This is an opportunity for all types of university staff and students who may have an idea they would like to create and improve their own academic experience. Attendees do not need to come up with their own ideas, but instead they can join a team once they get to the event.
NOTE: After you attend the event, we will reimburse your ticket on Eventbrite!
What is a Hackathon?
A hackathon is an event where people with ideas come together for the purpose of solving a problem that exists, or creating a product that is needed in the real world.
Why should I go?
Some of the benefits delegates have experienced at our previous event are:
Creating solutions to your educational challenges
Networking with other staff and students in different universities
Developing and learning new professional skills
Having free food served to them all day (breakfast, pizza, sandwiches and snacks)
Chance to win prizes worth over £1,000
Getting some great hackathon swag
Having fun and be part of the hackathon community
What are others saying about UnituHack?
"Thank you to you and the team for hosting such a brilliant event. I am particularly interested in student-staff partnerships, and it was a fantastic way to see some front-line work. It is interesting to see the areas that are consistently identified by students as being ‘problematic’- from staying abreast of information to peer support and communication with lecturers (not to mention food!). The atmosphere was incredibly positive and I can only imagine how much work went on to pull together this event."
Rebecca Rochon, Senior Lecturer in Education @ Buckinghamshire New University

City of London, United Kingdom
**Currently sold out - please add yourself to the waitlist more tickets may become available! **
Howdy Fellow Umbraconistas!
It's that time of year again when the crème de la crème of the Umbraco community descend on London for the UK's premier Umbraco event!
This year we have another fantastic venue with some great talks being prepared that will inspire and amaze you.
We are also running some interesting workshops during the day on a first come first served basis.
Thursday 29th - Umbraco UK Hackathon
On Thursday we will be holding the hackathon and bug fixathon which you are all welcome to come along to. Lunch will be provided for all attendees and it's a great way to get hands on with the Umbraco core.
There will be a few guys from the Umbraco HQ there too to help out and we usually bash quite a few bugs on the day.
Its a great way to get rid of some of those niggly little things that you wouldn't necessarily have time to do on your normal working day and it really helps drive Umbraco forwards!
Friday 30th - Umbraco UK Festival Sessions
The full schedule will be released nearer the time, but you can see all confirmed speakers on the festival website
NOTE: We will be starting at 0915 prompt so please make sure you are at the venue for 0845 latest to get your seats. We have a massive amount to get through so the keynote will be starting bang on time!
Speakers
If anybody has something amazing they'd like to show, we are still accepting entries, so get your thinking caps on.
We look forward to seeing you there!
