This hackathon is inviting all Software Hackers and Hardware Makers to come along and heat things up with the power of FLIR ONE and Lepton. There will be two challenges open to new and existing projects. The new projects will use the FLIR ONE SDK and/or a FLIR Lepton developer kit to create totally new consumer-ready thermal-imaging solutions. Whereas, the existing projects will integrate the FLIR ONE SDK and/or a FLIR Lepton solution for innovative consumer-ready thermal-imaging solutions.

Come and create innovative solutions to help banks transform from the world of closed IT structures to one that is more ‘open’ and connected and that fosters inter-bank communication. Your brief is to create and prototype innovative solutions around themes of Disruption, Sustainability, and Technology to enable ‘open banking’. This is a great opportunity for you to showcase your skills to senior leaders in banking and FinTech. You will have access to the ‘Blue Bank’ API sandbox to integrate and test your app with real world banking data.

Open source GIS users, developers, supporters--join OSGeo:UK at FOSS4G UK 2016 for two days of conferences and a one day hackathon - Humanitarian Hack with HXL. Sharpen your design and coding skills to explore ways to improve information sharing during humanitarian crises. Come up with innovative ways to leverage data discovery and spatial data usage, using HXL with QGIS and CKAN, to help people in need!

The focus will be around sharing, learning, meeting new people and exploring new places through a circular lens. Participants will have a chance to explore the city and engage in mapping the local activities and related places – putting circular initiatives on the map (literally). The goal is to create an open map of the towns circular related activities and connections that will be of use and can be built upon further by local groups.

Come participate in Hack the Local! Collaborate with community and mainstream journalists, journalism students, tech start ups and software developers to build new apps and platforms based around local news challenges. Teams will compete for prizes while being provided expert guidance in open data and community journalism.

Participate in a day of creating open guidance and resources for shared community spaces wanting to go more circular or encourage its users to in their work. This year's challenge activity focuses on Circular Maker Spaces and Open Energy Life Cycles. Participants will be developing circular guidance, inspiration, signage and more and exploring what platform is the best for this. Open Energy Monitor will also be on hand to share and develop further resources around embodied energy and LCA to aid hardware design considerations.
