Why join.
A truly eye-opening, mind-shifting experience inside London's tech startup scene. One of the hottest and best startup scenes in the world.

All in just one day.
What we do.
We begin in Tech City, with insights about the rise of London's startup ecosystem - from its hackathon history to its growing trends and what is happening now - as we visit the coolest new concepts in coworking space you'll see anywhere in the world.
Then, we'll visit one of London's best startup communities, to hear examples and stories of how entrepreneurs are solving big problems, creating new business models and launching innovative companies in areas from fintech, to blockchain, to artificial intelligence, all within startup communities. Plus discover the process startups go through, what investors look for when funding startups and why, and how to pitch your startup for venture capital.
Finally, we'll explore one of the best locations in Europe for innovation and the design thinking behind products that have changed the world. From brands like Apple and Google, to the future of revolutionary technologies like augmented reality, smart cities apps and 3D printing.
Get answers to questions, direction on your next steps, and foster genuine connections in this mind-shifting, learning experience - for individuals, partners or groups.
Watch the video
The format.
The day is designed as a tour through London, visting a number of startup locations, with a group of 2 to 6 people, kept deliberately small for better discussion and learning.
Where we'll go.
We begin at 11am in East London's Tech City, Shoreditch and Silicon Roundabout area: the world's 3rd largest technology startup scene, after San Francisco and New York. Then onto to central London. And finally, finishing the day in Kensington at 3pm. We'll be taking walks and trips on the London tube inbetween, so you'll need an Oyster Card, Contactless or use of Apple Pay.
What's included.
A selection of drinks, teas and coffees and awesome snacks (inc vegan).
Organisers.

When registering.
1. If a date you want is available, book it immediately. Don't wait. The most frequent message received is: "Hi, I saw the date I wanted earlier, but now its gone!" Because it was booked full by others, and they almost never cancel. So there's no way to squeeze anyone else on afterwards.
2. The day includes visiting startup locations around the city, so where comfortable clothing and shoes, and give yourself extra travel time on the day to avoid being late or left behind. As communication with late guests by phone or messenger is limited once we leave our meeting location at 11:30am.
3. All building locations are fully accessible. However, do get in touch within 60 minutes of booking if you have any specific travel, mobility or accessibility needs.
4. This is a hugely interactive, learning and sociable experience, and participants love taking photos and videos throughout the day. So you may appear in some!
Register easily.
No unecessary regestration details needed, then simply choose Paypal or 'Pay by Debit or Credit Card'.

Lab Liftoff: Robot Zoo
06 Aug - 09:30 AM
London, United Kingdom
You’re invited to…Lab Liftoff: Robot Zoo
We’ve teamed up with U Can Too for two days of experimentation with robotics.
What can I expect at Lab Liftoff: Robot Zoo?
Across the two days of this workshop, children will learn about and interact with robotics, using Birdbrain Technologies’ Hummingbird Kits. During the workshop children will design and build a Robot Zoo, creating moving robot animals that respond to interaction with. You an attend one day or two, depending on how complicated you want your project to be!
Using craft materials, sensors, lights and servos children will learn about engineering, electronics, coding and physical prototyping whilst imagining a whacky world of robotic animals.
This is a beginner friendly ‘hackathon’ fusing science, arts and technology. Working in groups, children will create their zoo. The goal of these animatronic animals is to delight others with unexpected animation, combining creativity, technology and humour!
Attend on Monday AND Tuesday: be a Critter Inventor and sign up for both days. You will create a unique moving creature from your imagination.
Day 1: learn to code Hummingbird and begin to build a zoo critter
Day 2: develop and complete your imaginative new animal!
Attend on Monday OR Tuesday: Sign up for 1 day, either Monday or Tuesday, and be a Critter Developer. Add a head and limbs to a setup body and develop a moving creature.
If your child wants to spend two days inventing and creating an animal from scratch, add a Monday and a Tuesday ticket to your basket. If your child just wants to attend one day, to complete a shorter project – they can attend on either day and you just need a ticket for your chosen day,
