Rejectionathon is a one-day event that helps founders build a thicker skin and gain confidence in selling.  At Rejectionathon, you’ll be given a list of challenges that will put you just slightly out of your comfort zone.  You'll complete these with the morale support of team members who will cheer you on.   Similar to a hackathon, you'll spend the day solving fun, adrenaline-packed "hustle challenges" with a small team. Musicians and sound engineers! Come along to the monthly Music Hackathon NYC. This month's topic is Music Education. It's a free, non-competitive monthly all-day event for participants to create new music-related projects from scratch, develop them over a period of ~8 hours, then perform or present them in a concert format at 8pm.

Developers, designers, project managers, or just interested in tech, you are invited to attend the AT&T & GWC Women in Tech and IoT Hackathon - Atlanta. You will come to the hackathon to collaborate om the design and build of innovative websites for non-profit charity organizations. You will be working with a team which is a great way to meet other girls who are passionate about technology too.

Houston Inventors is proud to present the PowerUp Houston Hackathon this year at the Mini Maker Faire. The theme will be sustainability to further our efforts as a society in conserving energy and water. Both hardware and software projects are allowed, and the venue will provide access to Rapid Prototyping equipment like 3D printers. Participation is limited to highschool and college students only.

The Re-Entry Co-Lab invites you to attend our first Re-Entry Impact-a-thon on Saturday November 12, 2016 in Englewood. Whats an Impact-a-thon?A creative convening and design hackathon focused on supporting re-entering citizens (folks who were formerly incarcerated), enhancing the work of re-entry organizations, and elevating re-entry social enterprises. Why Does Re-Entry Matter? 1 in 3 Americans has a criminal record. Many states are spending more on incarceration than education. Locally, 1 in 2 people will be re-incarcerated within 3 years at a huge cost to individuals, families, communities, and taxpayers. Re-entry is deeply linked to poverty, housing, education, health care, and many other pressing issues. Why a Co-Lab? Unexpected and interdisciplinary collaboration can lead to powerful social change. The Co-Lab is a space to share stories, iterate ideas, and connect tech, design, and re-entry.  Join our group of advocates, returning citizens, and techies by adding your skills to this complex issue: We need: Returning citizens Advocates (Service Providers, Community Leaders, Attorneys, Artists, etc.,) Designers GIS mappers Developers Data scientists Together we will: Hear about systems shaping re-entry, returning citizens' experiences, and the impact on society. Learn how technology, data science, and mapping may be applied to these issues. Share ideas in a design thinking workshop with returning citizens and organizations as the experts.  Work together in interdisciplinary teams to help map assets, needs, and innovative ideas for change. The VR Austin Jam 2016 is the newest installment of the annual VR Jam series, which will be formatted similar to a game jam. Join other VR programmers in a 3 day long non-competitive VR experience hacking event. Programmers will work with their teams to create a 5 minute or less immersive VR experience, both new and previously started projects are welcomed, create all day and party all night at the VR Austin Jam 2016!

Students in California's 15th Congressional District! Sign up for the 3rd annual Congressional App Challenge! You'll participate in a two-day hackathon to build an awesome software app for your choice of mobile, tablet, or computer device. Don't know how to code? No worries! There will be workshops to teach you Java programming and other skills for developing apps in the Android environment. The CA-15 winning app will be displayed in the US Capitol Building and on the U.S House of Representatives website.

Come and participate in StatFest 2016 - Illuminating Statistics via Dashboard, a hackathon sponsored by the Columbia University Statistics Club. You'll collaborate to use Rstudio to create innovative dashboards for visualizing statistical concepts, so that they are accessible to the general public.
