  Lincoln, United States
DESCRIPTION We bring the startup hustle, the snacks, the goofy brain-break games. You bring your side hustle, your startup, your idea for a company, or whatever project you want to hack away at. In partnership FUSE and NMotion are co-hosting the next Hack Your Weekend. Together, we'll energize and inspire each other to make crazy amounts of progress in just two days. What is Hack Your Weekend?HYW is 32 hours of focus, intensity, camaraderie, and collaboration with other startup founders, aspiring entrepreneurs, creatives, and hackers. Bring a project you want to make a ton of progress on. It can be anything from an idea to a full-fledged business.Unlike Startup Weekend or other hackathons, you won't form teams with strangers or try to build something you can pitch to judges on Sunday night. Instead, we'll provide the space, yummy snacks, and some brain breaks while you hack away at the project of your choice for a high intensity, fun weekend, working side by side with other entrepreneurs, creatives, and makers.Special - Optional - WorkshopsParticipants in HYW will also have the option to attend these special workshops. They are also available as individual registrations, for those who can't come for the full weekend. Prelaunch, optionalSaturday afternoon, 2-5pmTake your entrepreneurial aspirations for a test drive with this action-packed 3-hour workshop. Prelaunch will give you a really solid sense of how to start your startup, even if you don't have an idea yet. (This workshop is best for folks who have not started a startup yet and who may or may not have an idea.)Who can attend?Do you have a project (primary work, side hustle, creative endeavour) you've been wanting to make more progress on? Then this is for you!We have special treats for students and parents, too. Students - you get your weekend ticket for the bargain price of just $20 (including 5 meals!). Parents, we'll have childcare available for both Saturday and Sunday afternoon (1-5pm) - just be sure to register your child(ren), so we can plan appropriately. What is the agenda like?Well, first of all, we want this to be your agenda, not ours. We'll have interesting things planned throughout the weekend that you can participate in. Or you can find a comfy spot, put on your headphones, and hunker down for the whole weekend. Both options work for us!That being said, we do have some fun stuff planned... like an improv session, our special -optional- workshops, and maybe a few other things up our sleeves. We'll open the weekend on Saturday morning with a quick, get-to-know-everyone activity at 9 am. We won't spend the night on Saturday - plan on packing up for the evening no later than 10 pm. And we'll wrap up the weekend with a wrap-up-the-weekend activity. Oh, and food and snacks. We'll provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday. On Sunday, we'll provide breakfast and lunch. And lots of snacks in-between. Everything wraps up on Sunday by 5 pm.Why should I do this? There is nothing quite like a startup accelerator for inspiring you to test innovative ideas, work alongside other intrepid entrepreneurs, feed off the intensity and energy of the startup hustle, and get inspired by smart, creative people. We want to keep that energy and momentum going throughout the year, so this is one of two HYW events planned for the fall. Also, your friends will be there. (Probably. Well, especially if you invite them. And even if you don't, you'll make new friends by the end of the weekend!)What if I have other questions?Email Beth McKeon at beth@nmotion.co.
