A hackathon is an event for students at all skill levels; which encourages learning new technology, collaborating with other students, and creating something mind-blowing ACESSHACK is a student hackathon in which we invite students to partake in a day of code, community, and self-improvement. WHAT IS A HACKATHON?

A hackathon is an event for students at all levels; encouraging learning new technology, collaborating with other students, and creating something mind-blowing.

 

WHO WILL ASSIST THE TEAM?

A mentor on your team will be there from the start to finish to guide you and answer your questions both technical and task-related.

 

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

Students currently enrolled in High School or enrolled in a   Community or Technical College regardless of their coding knowledge and skill level. Four-year college/university students cannot participate in this hack, but may be mentors/assistants.

 

WHAT IF I CAN'T CODE?

Then you are in the right spot! We will have workshops and mentors on site to be there to help you. Plus, you'll have time and a team to help build your app.

 

WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE AN IDEA OR TEAM?

No worries! Most of the hackers come to participate without an idea or team, we will have activities at the beginning of the event so that your team can brainstorm ideas. Teams will be

 

HOW CAN I REGISTER?

Registration begins February 8 and ends February 22. Reserve your spot by registering now, spots fill up fast! There are only 80 spots available. Eventbrite.com is the reservation agent.

 

HOW MUCH IS IT?

The event is FREE and includes food, drinks, and some swag for the entire hackathon!

 

WILL THERE BE TRANSPORTATION?

No. Participants are required to arrange their own transportation.   Participants must attend both the Pre-event and the Hack-a-Thon. Please note that there will be no re-entry for Hack-a-thon participants.

 

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

All attendees are required to bring their valid student ID for admission (name must match registration) and your original Eventbrite ticket. Attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop / laptop/smartphone for hacking.

 

ARE THERE ANY RULES?

Please no firearms, knives, or weapons of any kind. Also, we expect all hackers to follow our Code of Conduct.

 

WHAT FOOD WILL YOU PROVIDE?

Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided.
