2017 Water IoT Hackathon
Organized by
The Water Innovation Project is excited to power the InvestH2O 2017 Water IoT Hackathon! Beginning June 14, 2017 in Austin, the Hackathon will bridge a gap between hardware, data, and water - allowing students, professionals and technology enthusiasts the opportunity to showcase their talents and innovation over a 36 hour period. The Hackathon is not about breaking into systems but is more akin to a live science fair, focused on leveraging data to help us better understand the possibilities of connected hardware and information to better managing our water resources.
The Hackathon will consist of a development track, workshops, demos, great swag, awesome prizes and delicious food! The goal of this event is to encourage innovation within the Texas and Southwest US water sector by connecting real-world challenges with fast-paced idea generation and development, while learning about the scenarios for applying novel solutions and out of the box approaches.
InvestH2O is taking place in conjunction with the Hackathon. The organizers are passionate about encouraging innovation and creative thought among youth and students. Our recent Hackathon in California attracted over 150+ attendees, 12 major corporate sponsors and partners, and most importantly sparked new ideas, products, and early-stage opportunities.
