The most successful leaders of the future will have the interpersonal skills necessary to manage and integrate rapid technological advances while simultaneously building inclusive teams where all employees thrive. Stereotypes and myths about each generation must be addressed to ensure that all employees—regardless of age and stage—feel included, see eye-to-eye, and can work hand-in-hand.    Trend 3: My Truths: Recognizing and Valuing Employees’ Intersecting Identities All employees bring unique experiences and perspectives related to their gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, age, ability, religion, social class, sexual orientation, and other dimensions of difference. Savvy employers understand both how these identities intersect and how to honor them to create workplaces where all can thrive, contribute, and succeed. Dnika J. Finding ways to work with displaced employees, new immigrants, and employees impacted by these disruptions is essential to companies’ and employees’ future success. CEOs and organizations must be at the forefront of responding proactively to the many stakeholders who are looking for ethical leadership—or risk losing influence and competitive edge. They can deliver a better customer experience thanks to time zone differences allowing for longer coverage periods and wider knowledge of different cultures and languages. All this as virtual employees collaborate and innovate using remote technologies that reimagine the typical work day and allow them to achieve better work-life effectiveness, to the benefit of employees and organizations.   Trend 8: Collaboration is Key: Leading and Leveraging Diverse Teams and Technology Technology-assisted collaboration across AI and human teams, where employees are able to develop trust in one another and effectively solve problems, express differing viewpoints, and learn from mistakes is key to inclusion innovation, business results, and productivity in workplaces now—and will be even more so in the future.
