Amsterdam Service Jam 2018
The Amsterdam Jam Service is a satellite event of the Global Service Jam , a worldwide service design hackathon, where more than 100 cities participate in new services on the same weekend.
Around the world from Friday to Sunday, jammers are working together, collaborating, learning, creating, and expanding their networks.
During the jam, you will be team up with people from different fields, backgrounds and experience. You will be guided through the service design process in a fun and intense program with skill building workshops, guest
speakers and coaches.
Where else can you learn and practice the service design process in just 48 hours with so much fun and craziness?

Service Design? Design Thinking?
Service Design is a design discipline in which you use design methodologies to design new services. We do not want to teach you what Service Design is, we want you to experience it. We are designing new services in 48 hours with 30-50 participants. You will innovate by finding new skills and trying out new methods!
How do we Jam?
Have you ever seen a music Jam-Session? A group of musicians that starts playing together with a plan, having fun, creating a new rhythm? We start with an idea, find a problem and define an opportunity, which together with your team, you will prototype a service.
What do I get?
Your ticket covers everything that will keep you inspired and designing, watered and fed; post-its, prototyping material, and course inspiring speakers and cool space.
Food: Friday: Dinner | Saturday: Breakfast, Lunch, (Dinner not included but organized by us) Sunday: Breakfast, Lunch. Please contact us directly if you have any food allergies as we may not be able to accommodate all the diets.
What should I bring?
An open mind, a sense of curiousity, and the willingness to explore! You do not need to bring a laptop, but if you wish to bring one, Wifi will be available on site.
Who will be guiding us?
Your organizing committee is made up of star veteran jammers and designers:
Wieke Schrakamp, MarCom Manager at IJsontein; Sergio Castellanos, Design Strategist and Marketing Specialist at Makeblock; Emma Cherim, Innovation Manager and Proposition Designer at ABN AMRO; Suzanne De Witte, Creative trainee at TinQwise; Jephta Pijs, UX specialist at Clockwork; and Ashlee Valdes, Labs Coordinator at Info.nl.
Our Coaches are experienced service designers and design thinkers who will guide your teams throughout the weekend. Our speakers will present you with methods and workshops from their specialties. And last, but not least, our judges are innovative professionals utilizing service design.

How do I get there?
The event is located at the inspring offices of our host, Ijsfontein. Please check their website for transport, parking and other information. Please note that there may be a bridge construction resulting in a detour from Central Station.
