Atlanta Greenspace Hackathon
Join Code for Atlanta and Park Pride in the first ever Atlanta Greenspace Hackathon. Participants will work with several Atlanta-area parks and greenspace non-profits and government agencies on projects that will make our public, open greenspaces more accessible to more Atlantans. In addition to Park Pride, Atlanta-area non-profits like Piedmont Park Conservancy and Atlanta Audubon Society will be presenting projects.
This event is being held in conjunction with Open Data Day.

What To Expect
We're gathering project ideas and challenges from Atlanta-area non-profits and government agencies. Participants are welcome to bring their own challenges related to parks and greenspaces. During the Saturday morning opening session, all project ideas will be pitched to attendees. Attendees will then choose the project group they'd like to join.
Project groups will have all day on Saturday and Sunday to work towards a prototype. A prototype doesn't have to be working software. It could be anything: a data visualization, a sketch for signage and wayfinding, results from a survey or user interviews, an Internet of Things proof-of-concept, or a clickable mockup using InVision. At the end of the hackathon, all teams will present their accomplishments in a short five-minute demo.
