    Atlantic Lottery Hackathon.006: East Coast Hack Hack: Creative collaboration for idea generation and problem solving to a challenge. Challenge: The lottery in Atlantic Canada offers a range of games to residents. Players can buy a scratch ticket at a retail store, purchase a jackpot ticket through ALC’s iOS or Android app, or play instant games online. However many of the games offered are also available across Canada. Can you come up with an innovative, creative lottery idea for East Coasters? We want to see it! Volta Labs and Atlantic Lottery will host Atlantic Lottery Hackathon.006. This two evening hack will begin Thursday, November 2, 2017 (6pm-9pm) with an introduction to our current product portfolio, challenges and opportunities. This is your chance to ask questions as you start exploring ideas. After a week of behind the scenes work, presentations and judging will begin at 6pm Thursday, November 9, 2017. This free hackathon allows you to work at your own pace to explore ways to engage players in the East Coast. This is a fantastic way to show off your design, programming or other talent. Not to mention $4000 in prizes! The Prizes: First overall prize: $1250!!! This could mean an instant scratch ticket, a jackpot game, a online click game, an app or something else entirely. Judging: Projects will be judged on presentation, creativity and, of course, the tech made during the event!  Note there are separate prizes for top design and top technical design. ALC Hackathon 006 Scoring Criteria Judges: - Stephanie Dunn - Director of Client Strategy, Time + Space - Shawn Lowe - VP of Growth + Partnerships, Time + Space - Chris Crowell - Chief Marketing Officer, Mariner Partners - Renee Leblanc - Regional Games Brand Manager, ALC Teams/Participants: You can go solo, or work with a team. All teams must be confirmed by 9pm Thursday. November 2, 2017. Please review Terms and Conditions for full details. Maximum of 5 members per team. Please register your team together if you know the members in advance. Notes:  This event is 19+. The Competition is open only to legal residents of Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island who are 19 years of age or older as of the date of entry.  Teams must be confirmed by 9:00 pm on Thursday, November 2, 2017.  Schedule: Thursday November 2nd: Doors open at 5:30 p.m. to eat pizza, have some refreshments and meet and mingle with your fellow hackers. The hackathon will kick off at 6pm. Thursday November 9th 6pm: Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Presentations and judging will begin at 6pm followed by award presentation! Each team will have 5 minutes to present their idea. What's the food situation? Food and drinks will be provided on both Thursdays, including pizza, pop, snacks, coffee, Redbull - all the fuel you’ll need!
