In this Hackathon, your challenge is to create innovative, fun, fresh ideas for lottery or other real money gaming in new SPACES!
Atlantic Lottery Corporation offers a range of lottery games to residents of Atlantic Canada. Players can buy a scratch ticket at a retail store or have it delivered to their home; they can purchase a jackpot ticket in person or through ALC’s Android/iOS app; and they can play instant lottery games online.
Challenge:
In this Hackathon, your challenge is to create innovative, fun, fresh ideas for lottery or other real money gaming in new SPACES: ie. a place it isn’t already.
Tesla got a car into space, how can we get lottery into space… What would that look like?
Or maybe you have a wearable/AR/VR Lottery experience in mind… How would that work?
Or any number of other ideas! All ideas are welcome!
This week-long hackathon will begin Thursday, July 12, 2018 (5:30pm- 8:30pm) with an introduction to our current product portfolio, challenges, and opportunities. This is your chance to build a team and ask questions as you start exploring ideas. After a week of behind the scenes work as a team, the pitching event will begin at 5:30pm Thursday, July 19, 2018. This hackathon allows you and your team to work at your own pace throughout the week, to explore new methods, and/or new spaces, in which to engage lottery players. This is a fantastic way to show off your design, programming, or other talents. Not to mention, up to $5000 in prizes!!!
