Challenge: Create an app, website, or device that solves a problem for students in high school or middle school that is marketable.

Why are we here?
We are here to encourage computer science knowledge in high schoolers and allow students to test and compete using the skills learned throughout the year!

What is hacking?
Hacking is an unorthodox way to solve  problems. However, it is sometimes negatively viewed by the public. A hackathon is an event that gathers programmers with different skill sets to hack, and design a software project in a limited amount of time. BISVHacks targets students with from novice to advanced programming experience. We love diversity!

What are our goals?
I. Provide a weekend long crash course in entrepreneurship for coders to learn about monetization, marketing, user experience and more. We want to teach skills that will allow programmers to see their ideas as a reality, rather than a dream.
II. Contribute to promoting engineering education and gender/racial diversity.
III.  Advocate entrepreneurship for young, ambitious innovators, hopefully allowing them to create a positive impact on the lives of others.
