Behind An Accelerator, Start Up Funding & Global FinTech - Guest Speaker Oxygen Start-Ups
Anthony Catt Managing Director of Oxygen Startups, one of Europe's oldest Accelerators, will visit Byte Academy student and community members tomorrow before heading back to London where he is based.
He'll talk about life Behind An Accelerator, the global FinTech and start-up scence scene and NYC versus London environment. He'll also give tips on how to get funding and describe business strategy of Hackathons, including the epic one that we threw with him and Transferwise last weekend.
About the Speaker - Anthony Catt: Anthony is the Managing Director of Oxygen Startups, established in 2009 it is one of the UK and Europe’s longest serving Accelerators providing investment and hands-on support to early stage tech companies through their whole journey, from idea to launch to scale. Entrepreneurially driven with experience in both the corporate and public sectors, focused on creating, developing and supporting new business ventures. Passionate about educating the world in new ways of thinking and alleviating the challenges businesses big and small face in creating new innovations and taking them to market.
Alongside Oxygen he is currently carrying out academic research into the intersection between education and entrepreneurship on a scholarship at Aston Business School. Whilst also sitting on several advisory boards as well mentoring, advising and coaching on other educational and startup based programmes.
