[Bison Hacks] BOOTCAMP SERIES: Back-End 101 As a way to prepare for the event, we will be providing several installments that will help cultivate the skills needed to have an amazing experience at our hackathon on March 30-31, 2018 at Mapbox. Our second workshop will be dedicated to learning about building the business logic or back-end to web applications.  Our speaker will be our very own Brandon Coates.  Brandon Coates has picked up a wide range of technical skills throughout his 10+ years working in the technology field. He received his formal education from Howard University with a degree in Computer Science and continued with his education with a Masters in Computer Science from George Washington University. He has spent time as Windows Administrator, Cloud Administrator, Quality Assurance Engineer, Penetration Tester and is currently working as a Security Engineer. In all of these ventures, he has used principals from his formal education and skills learned from his previous experience. In his spare time away from the keyboard he enjoys family, sneakers, movies, music. Brandon also is a firm believer that vim is better than emacs and spaces make more sense than tabs. TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS EVENT YOU MUST BE A HOWARD UNIVERSITY UNDERGRADUATE OR GRADUATE STUDENT.
